I put together this little 2 wall garage to use as a background for taking pics of my car builds  it started off prety simpe, but then I kept finding things to add in  by the time I got all the accessories in place, there wa hardly any room for the cars. It reminded me of the garage my dad worked at when I was a kid.    I made some of the shop items, even building the crate for the engine block to be shipped in. I thought that would be simple, but ended up using 15 pieces to get it done   Of course I had to put somethings up on the wall  later, I made up some parts boxes and made a small shelf to put them on  the final touch was the mechanics. They aren't finished in this pic, but have been completed |

Looks like the old adage of "no matter how big you build a garage, it will need to be twice the size" applies to dioramas also.

Thanks guys.
I made it like this so I could add "modules" to it. I want to end up with either 6 or 9 sections this size. Off the short wall, I want to make an office / waiting area. Off the short open end I want to make a mirror of this one to double the garage area, then behind those have one as a paint booth and the other as a store room. Off the long side of the office area I want to make a show room type affair with a couple of the owners old race cars on display. I don't know what the third row would be, but I am sure that even expanding this to six times its original size won't be big enough.

This looks great! May I ask, where you got some of those smaller items? Like the tire jacks, the craftsman bench, air compressor etc? Really nice layout!

Thank you schwack. Some of the things are from the NASCAR kits that come with the extras. The rest came off of ebay. I got things like the tire changer and wheel balancer as individual buys, and the others came in sets. I think I bought like 3 or 4 different sets of accessory items. None of them had everything I wanted, but each had a few things.
