Wow thanks for spreading the word about J's C's ! I am having business cards made as we speak that have the logo and address on them. I am also tryin to get a local Hobby Lobby to do a J's C's Model contest at its store for local kids. I love that Mels Dinner , did you build that ?

No problem, your welcome Beast. A few of the car guys I have Saturday breakfast with are getting interested in building models again. I sent them the link to here, and I know some of them have been here lurking as guests, but haven't signed up yet. I didn't do that Mel's Diner, it was a guy that was across the parking lot from me. I thought you would like that when I seen it. He said he built it using the HO scale kit by Moebius. He builds cars but he is mostly into HO rail road, and the diner is too big for his layout because it uses up too much real estate, so he displays it on it's own. I do want to get that Moebius Mel's Drive-in though to go with the HO scale Bate's Mansion and Munster's House I already have. I have contemplated building a 1/25 Mel's diorama, but after figuring out the rough dimensions it seemed quite large, like at least a 6 foot by 8 foot table to set it on.

Great pics Skip, i like the drive in diner that thing is cool. It would be nice to have a 1/25 scale diorama, but ya 6" to 8" that's too big. thanks for sharing the pics looks like it was a lot of fun.

Well,...I wouldn't really say 6'x8' is too big, just that space doesn't usually permit such a thing in most households. That said, I have a 18'x20' room upstairs in my polebarn shop, that I want to use to build a 1/25 scale "layout" like the model railroad guys do. Use the entire room for a diorama. Only problem is that will be put on hold now for awhile, as one of two of my sons who are in the Marine Corps has decided he is not going to reenlist and will be getting out next summer, so I have made a deal with him and will be making it a small apartment he will rent while he goes to school and gets settled into civilian life.

ya, I hear ya, space is a premium at times. I am about to gain some space [you'll see my thread],and when my son moves out, that room is slated for diorama/display room....eventually.
