Ok gang. I'm a bit late to this race but definitely NOT out. Had the aviation bug bite me once more so I switched gears for a little bit and have the hardest parts of it out of the way. Gonna take a small break from it and concentrate on this engine build up. We have here a big block 440 with a pretty low parts count. Given that the body paint is a fairly wild scheme and the chassis has that 70's stance with a pretty much stock interior I'll be going with a mildly built 440 to put in it.
Here it is all laid out. I'll be gone for the weekend but will resume building on Monday. Looking forward to this one guys:

Thanks Dave! I may make some major changes here as there’s not a whole lot of detail to the AMT version of this engine. Stay tuned....

Ok guys. I'm going to have to donate some parts to make this one look a little better. I just wasn't "feelin' it" with the OOB parts. I'm going to donate some Revell upper engine parts for this build while still utilizing the engine block and transmission for ease of installation into this car. The parts layout which consists of a few more and better detailed parts: and the mock up assy:

Thanks guys. Still on this one but haven't been doing much posting lately. Had a birthday to plan for and carry out so I've been pretty busy. Currently working on the engine wiring harness and distributor and wires. Pics coming within a day or so..................

Ok gang. I've made a bit of progress since the last update. I had a little trouble along the way with the plug wires. I installed the distributor with the long ends on the right hand side of the engine which left the short ends...….well......short. Instead of yanking the distributor ,which is in there to stay by way of pinning it into the engine, I yanked the short wires out of the distributor and started over for the left side. Very frustrating but got through it. Still have a few things to add, some touch up here and there, and a little weathering on the exhaust manifolds but we're almost there. I have mixed feelings about this engine build. Some of it I feel okay about but I definitely don't feel that this is one of my better turn outs. Will see what I can do to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

I really appreciate the good word guys. After a couple of corrections I feel a little better about the turn out. I'll be sending a little bit of 18 gauge black electrical wire with the completed engine with instructions on how to form and weather a more realistic radiator hose complete with clamps.
What you're seeing here is the base engine/ transmission, oil pan and headers from the parts bag that Dave sent me so that it can be installed into the AMT chassis with as little trouble as possible. Everything from the cylinder heads on up, timing cover, belt/pulley setup, alternator and cooling fan are all Revell. Spark plug wires are from True Details, fuel line fabricated from aluminum wire, and engine wiring harness is scratchbuilt. Air cleaner decal is from Revell and the oil filter decal is from Slixx. That air cleaner decal was a real PIA to get to lay down right. Took about 10 coats of Microsol and some decal cutting to get it to lie down.
Anyways. …. the completed pics:

Once again, I'd like to thank you Dave for giving me the opportunity to give back. I don't have a whole lot of money right now so it's really hard to give back the way I'd like to and it feels good to be able to contribute to this great forum. Peace out bro.

Joe , I’m at a loss for words! Jerry’s Cherrys is everything I ever wanted it to be. Great members like yourself and about 500 others make this a great site. We have some of the best builders out there and the work on this project shows it. I can’t wait to do the final assembly! Bad ass! Thank you again sir !!!
