what a beautiful build. excellent execution!! what kit did that start out as? That build started life as a Revell 1/16th California Charger kit ...... replaced all the body panels with correct Competition Resins panels, also has Comp Resins valve covers, blower, chute pack, and injector. I scratch built the scoop. The paint is MCW Orange lacquer and the decals came from Slixx. The front wing came from a Fighting Irish kit and was painted with Testors wood enamel. I also moved the magneto to the rear of the block, which is the proper position for a 392 cubic inch Stage I Hemi.

I always liked 1/24-1/25 scale cars , and still do ............ however, at 71 years young, the 1/16 scale kits offer some great advantages for old eyes and hands that don't function as well as they once did

I'm beginning to understand that concept fairly well , even at dang near fifty years old my eyes are giving me some trouble. I've got a couple of 1:24 scale aircraft kits hanging around for just that reason.
Very nice work on this beauty buddy. Very nice!! I really like all the details you've added.

I know exactly what you mean. at 58 1/2, my vision sucks....
without my glasses, I can see great at 2 feet, cant see squat at 3" so I take my glasses on and off constantly. when I wear my contacts, I can see great past 2' but cant see squat up close, so I have to wear magnifying glasses. on and off with those too. hands and fingers still work ok.... its the knees...

LOL! No Al a 1/25 scale aircraft is huge. The smaller ones are 1/48 and then smaller than that are 1/72(believe it or not there's a lot of folks that build this scale and pull it off to make it look a lot bigger than what it actually is.) For instance, a forum buddy of mine elsewhere built this 1/72nd scale Bf110 and this guy does amazing work.
Looks pretty dang huge until you see this picture:
A 1/24 scale version of this same bird wouldn't be able to fit in the same photo. lol
