My son was at our house all day with his Aunt yesterday and didn't want to get on his phone, tablet or Xbox like he usually does sooooooooooo...............he went into the hobby room and grabbed the Raptor kit that I bought him at the end of June and went to work. Evidently he worked on it trying to turn out the best build he could. When I got home last night he met me out in the drive way and led me into the hobby room to proudly show off his creation to me. I guess he's really gotten into the last couple of builds that I've been working on and wanted to follow suit. He was so happy with the results that I couldn't help but to clean it up just a smidgen more, take some glamour shots and put it on his computer as wallpaper and build a screen saver for him and to post it here for him. Hope you guys enjoy it.
This is what he started with:
I must say that I've been pleasantly surprised with the level of detail in the "Max" kits. Lotsa goodies in there for a Snap Tite kit.
Here she is:
and a shot of the interior. Again not bad for a snap kit:

I'm assuming the name is Jack? No sir, years ago while I still had aspirations of traveling the world in spandex (I wanted to be a professional wrestler) I came up with about a dozen or so stage names and characters. JK Flash was one of them. The JK are my initials and I thought Flash was a cool name ever since I saw Flash Gordon, haha! My name is John.

Thanks for posting those. Say.............is that a Lightning I see back there? Thank you! I think the color was called Testor's Root Beer and I painted the F150 that color as well as a 1940 Ford Coupe. My 1:1 ride is Kodiak Brown Metallic and looks very close to that color. I'll take another photo when I get home but the white bed behind the Raptor is a 1999 Lightning and to the right of it on the shelf is a black 1994 Lightning. I'll take a photo of all 3 and post here tonight.

20171121_173224 by John Keim, on Flickr 20171121_173222 by John Keim, on Flickr I know I have to dust the cars on the shelf but that is my F150 shelf. I have been a fan of the muscle truck for a long time now. The 99 Lightning is a Revell kit. I think they re-released it around 2007 or 8 with a picture of the build model on the front, mine was the older box art with the photo of the actual truck. The 94 Lightning was an AMT kit I picked up long ago.

I like the looks of that 99 Lightning and may have to pick one up. I used to keep all my builds out on an open shelf but in the last few years have kept them in a dust free enclosed cabinet. I remember dusting them off as a kid and I would always knock something off of the build every time I did it. lol.
