Well, I sanded, primed, re-sprayed, it reacted with bubbles here and there........ I sanded again, re-hit it this morning, we will see what I have when I get home........ BUT, it looks as if CC may have ruined yet another classic kit......... No pictures, as I am embarrassed of the progress - dam stupid paint anyways...... No matter what it looks like, the glue will start to fly tonight / this weekend. Need to just build it and be done with it smileyCASHS601_zps1c54a9c5

I hate to ask this Tom, but did you wash the parts with soap and water to get the molding compounds off before you painted it? Not doing that can sure screw up a paint job. If you have to sand it down again, wash it and dry it real good and re-prime it and it should come out fine. PIA I know. When this kind of thing happens to me I'm afraid I don't take it well. Makes my immaturity show.

I did have the parts off the sprues, but always have clean hands when I sit at the bench. It's just one of those deals, sometimes the plastic is finicky I think. I used all Krylon paints Dale - so no using different paints. I learned that hard lesson awhile back on the 66 Nova build. Even if it's the same kind of paint, lacquer or enamel, if it is different brands, that can cause a reaction. BUT, when I got home last night after our fund raising meeting for our pancake breakfast this Saturday, (we are holding another pancakes for charity deal tomorrow. It's for a little girl going through cancer, poor girl, she has had spinal taps, and wicked chemo this year, so we are trying to raise some more money for her and her family. A plate of pancakes, sausage and coffee or juice for 5 bucks). Anyways, apologies - got side tracked on the pancake thing - the paint seemed to take this time. Good enough for the girls I go with anyways. I will just hide any rough spots with the decals I am making, I should be able to concentrate more on this build later this weekend. I tell ya, organizing and scheduling these fund raising benefit things can be hard sometimes! But we got way more donations this time, so we should be good to go. Just a few things left to pick up tonight, but everything, and everyone is planned out and ready. Now as long as everyone shows up tomorrow morning on time! Ha! Hoping we can raise between 4 and 5000 for Rachel and the family - I know it does not make a dent in their medical bills, but at least they would have a little extra money.

Thanks Alan, I think the painting woes are over, she is looking better now. Thanks guys for the kind words on our pancake benefit, we raised $2200 serving pancakes and sausage, at 5 bucks a plate from 8am to Noon. Of course, there were additional donations, a lot of people just gave a 20, so it was a pretty good success. Not as much as our last one we held for Moe, but that one got a lot more publicity. This one was kind of a spur of the moment idea, but the family seemed happy. And Rachel had a blast! Her smile made it all worth while, Now, hoping to get back to this build, not sure I am gonna make the deadline I'm afraid

Yeah, I know Dennis, I have no excuse for not finishing on time, other than I can be a lazy spaz at times. I was busy a lot on the weekends, but I sure as s#it could have worked on it in the evenings. But I will finish it, I may not finish on time, but I have NOT finished a build.
