I wanna jump in with the gang, and see if I can knock out another build in under a month. I have so many pro street kits, my eyes were getting glazed over looking at them all, trying to pick one. So I ended up putting 7 kits on the floor, I took some change from my pocket, only had one quarter, but had nickels and dimes and pennies also. I gave my wife the change, walked her into the hobby room with her eyes closed, and told her to toss the change in the air, and wherever the quarter landed close to, that would be the kit. The quarter actually landed on this one, so this be what I will build.

Wild for sure, and there's worse habits then finishing a model a month

Pearl white is a great color on almost anything. I think that would look good on this kit. Interested to see how it turns out complete.

Appreciate that guys. Well, after bowling last night, I was able to start the paint process. First - a light, flat white covering

Thanks Dennis. Well, really did not get much done this weekend. Was a nervous wreck, up all night Thursday with Mom as the hurricane started to hit. Then could not get a hold of her all day Friday, FINALLY, Saturday was able to get through. She is fine, the house made it, the cats made it, and my nerves finally settled down a bit. So to celebrate, we went midnight bowling Saturday night and I inhaled WAY too many beers, so the hangover got me yesterday, LOL BUT - I did paint ALL the chrome, yes, all the chrome with a clear purple. Talk about a wild build this is gonna be! Also gave the body parts another round of white - man this yellow molded color is a P.I.T.A. to cover! Also painted the interior parts a brushed metal color. Picture sucks, but hey, when one is hungover, that is pretty much how everything looked to me yesterday! Ha!

You've got my attention, the anodized purple look will be cool. A coat of grey primer might help getting the white primer to cover

I may have to get me some gray primer bud, thanks for the tip. I did primer with a flat white, but this yellow is a creeper - FOR SURE!

I've heard folks say coat it with Future and/or silver to keep bleed through at bay

A good quality grey primer will fix that problem mate... and that chrome work will look killer with the right color around it.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the suggestions. I have to go to Wally World at lunch for batteries, and plan on grabbing a can of gray primer. Figure a light coat should do the trick, also going to look for some brighter white while I am at it! I may have thought of a direction to go with this build....... Something for the wife - an Alzheimer's Awareness car. Will just need to sit down one night and come up with a new set of custom decals. I have built her a NASCAR Alzheimer's Awareness car, and just awhile back I made decals for the Alzheimer's Awareness Sprint Car. Throw on a few contingency decals here and there and "POOF" that should do it!

Wow!!!! I just bought one of these kits and lemme tell you, unless you got a killer deal I hope you had some deep pockets. lol I'll be using the engine from my kit but plan on fully plumbing it and switching the exhausts up from those sissy looking pipes coming off of the turbos to some larger diameter ones I'll be making from solder for my VW Beetle Bus build. I'll be watching your engine build on this one with great interest.

LOL) But honestly, I did get this for a great deal. - got it from our very own Iceman last year - he gives awesome deals on kits - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I am kind of blown away with the motor honestly, and to do this right, I would need to do some thorough research. Not sure I have the time for that, want to get this sucker done for this month's MOTM build. BUT - I do plan to possibly get another to build as the original car. What little research I have done, I have learned quite a lot about this car from back in the day, it sure was a game changer, no doubt!
