I'm very partial to pro street, AND to road runners, this is a really nice build. great job. I know I may be late on this but, your hood issues. if you do not want to gcut a hole in an outlaw hood (I wouldn't want to either), maybe you can find shorter carbs that will drop the scoop down. or you can sand down the ones on the motor. those carbs seem to have a big circular top piece, I have sanded them down myself on a build or 2. i think this is your best option. I usually change those carbs out myself.

Thank you sir I greatly appreciate your ideal. But I've already hacked up a stock hood just in the tank cleaning paint off it so maybe next weekend I can finish this one off.

Wow Mike! That's a good lookin' build buddy! Just a tip on the wheels for the next build. Toning the kit chrome down and to give it a more true metal look I usually coat my parts with Tamiya Smoke. It works really good at reducing the toy like look from model chrome and levels out nice.
The paint is X-19 Tamiya Smoke.
To illustrate, the wheel on the R/H side has no Tamiya Smoke paint on it where the L/H was treated with a coat of it. As you can see it contrasts all the nooks and crannies and brings out a more true metal finish. Give it a shot on a spare wheel you've got laying around . I brush mine on since it levels out real good and thin it with Tamiya Lacquer Thinner. Coat it ONCE ONLY! Don't go back over it as it won't be a smooth application.

You know it mustang - Iceman told me about this years back, and I have been a fan ever since. The X-19 jars are big enough, that I actually "Dip" my rims in it with some tweezers, then let them settle and dry on some paper towel.
But first, I ALWAYS coat all the chrome trees with some future. This tip I got from Big D, and it works great to keep any finger prints, etc from getting on your chrome. And if you do get smudges, if they are coated in future, they buff off quick and easy!

Great build. One suggestion for the hood. If your blower is too tall or even too wide, I would cut off the top of the hood scoop. Thin the sides as necessary. I like that custom hood.

Thank you gentlemen I greatly appreciate your kind words. Sorry for not being on here as often as I used to be. Started a new relationship so my modeling kinda got pushed to the back burner for time being. But I have the hood in black primer so hopefully I can knock this one out this weekend.
