Next up....mo' MOPAR. smileyCASHS601_zps1c54a9c5 This looks like a nice kit. Very good molding and detail, lots of decals...including red walls for the tires. Color will be metallic bronze, interior probably brown.

Engine ready for wiring. I love the color. smileyCASHS601_zps1c54a9c5 The kit comes with a decal for the top of the air cleaner. As you can see, the top of the air cleaner is not flat, and it seems impossible to get the decal to sit without huge wrinkles. Applying decal solution makes no difference. Am I missing something? thinking-hard-smiley-emoticon A couple coats of Createx Auto Air metallic bronze. No clear coat yet. Yowzuh! Interior will be black with aluminum and wood grain accents.

What for decal is it? Should it fit on the rounded edge on top? Or maybe on the rised inner lip?

Goes right on the not flat part. From the box pic...

Definitely will need to hole it out in the center, and maybe a smear of Elmers glue to help the decal adhere to the raised sides of the middle. Worst case, a slight cut somewhere may help to at least get in place, then touch up after it sets

I cut the center out first thing. I'm going to try cutting it and overlapping the ends to give it a cone shape.

Nice job on that motor! What color did you use on the long block? I have lots of paint sitting around, so I mixed it myself rather than try and find something that matched. It's just green and blue. smileyCACETROO_zps365bb43e

Haven't done any dash detailing yet...waiting on some pre-printed gauges. Otherwise the interior is finished.
