So since I recieved my new shell for this one from Revell Of Germany (Massive kudos to them by the way!), I could get moving on this one. This was the original plan for the color scheme (I'll explain that in a bit). Turned out pretty nice, a couple of touch up spots but nothing too bad. So, why didn't I continue with this? I thought you said it had a couple of touch up spots that were easy enough to do?! Well, the day after, someone thought it would be funny to scare me when I was holding it (in all fairness, he didn't know.)... So in the purple pond it went. New can of paint. Originally, I sprayed flat black on there to see if there were any rough spots that I needed to sand away. But when it dried, I thought to myself, why not spray a couple of light coats of metallic black on there? Here's how Big Nasty looks right now! Will be continued! Lucas.

Thanks DeeCee, the wheels are actually from a Tamiya Tom's Supra, with the brake disks from a Tamiya FD RX-7

Hmm, using the new charger chassis with the '68 body. That might be something to try!

Hmm, using the new charger chassis with the '68 body. That might be something to try! Unfortunately the new charger has a really poor chassis, everything is molded into it, but you could use the interior out of it, that's about all there is as even the engine is really only a top half. But good thinking guys, keep kit bashing in the head, and before you know it, out will pop a masterpiece...

It has been a while, had a insanely busy few months but I'm slowly trying to get back to work on both this one, and the Camaro. Finally decided to shoot some clear on this, and I'm glad I did. The pic isn't much, but when the sun comes out, I'm gonna get some better ones! More when I have actually something to show instead of this teaser! Lucas.

It's looking good, Lucas. I thing some darkened bumped would really give it a sinister look.

Yeah! Test it out on a spare chrome part but I think a simple brush on with Tamiya smoke may do the trick. The more layers you add the darker it will get.

Hmmm, sounds good, and if it doesn't work, or I mess up, I can always do them matte black or something like that.

Uh-oh, something is wrong! I tried to remove the left rear wheel to repaint, but in doing so, the pin that holds it to the axle snapped off... In the bin these go! I've been looking at several sites, but I couldn't find the style of wheels with the right mounting adapters I was looking for. Thankfully, I remembered that I had a set of Meng F350 wheels that have the correct pin on the back, and they look pretty mean. Probably gonna need a little bit of cutting and sanding, but I'm confident they are gonna fit! More when I actually have something to show. Lucas.

Ever had one of those models that keep fighting you, no matter what? Well this is one of them. So I was fitting the front wheels yesterday, and in doing so, the complete front clip of the chassis snapped off and desintegrated. Got another Charger kit on the way which I'm gonna rob of it's chassis, chrome parts and interior tub.

I do know the pain you speak of lucas - 66 Nova - last year - I have yet to burn it as I said I would, BUT, it was indeed an evil piece of plastic.....

DO NOT BIN THE WHEELS!!!!All you need to do is drill the centre bit out mate, and re-use them, make another pin from styrene, NEVER EVER EVER THROW ANYTHING OUT, especially wheels, this is where we get all these spare parts to kit bash with... I don't like those Meng wheels myself, the originals will look way better i think.. ( just my opinion mate.) Looking good too by the way..

Right. Got my new parts kit yesterday, and it seemed I needed more parts from it. Got everything set up, and I found these steelies somewhere in a box of stuff, they have the right adapters so I might go with these as I want this model over and done with. Lucas.

Huge update (at least for this thread ) Today was a good day to model, and I got alot of stuff done. First of all, the new wheels. I robbed these from an old gluebomb I had laying around, dechromed them and painted them matte black. Stuck the little chrome cap in the center to cover the nasty hole for the axle studs and they were good to go. I got the chrome bits on the rear on yesterday, tail lights were a bit of a pain since they wouldn't sit flush with the reflectors but oh well, it's not like I'm taking this to shows or anything . Now, onto the chassis and interior. I painted the chassis matte black, with a very light coat of clear (sorry, no pics). The interior is mostly stock, except for the modified Audi R8 front seats. front and rear glass, wipers installed and testfitted the interior: Sorry for the blurry pics, the camera on my phone is slowly giving in... Thanks for watching! Lucas.

Hey all, sorry about not posting any progress. I've been having a rough time dealing with insomnia and doctors, but the good news is I'm getting taken into hospital in just over a week to have tests so we can figure out where it comes from. I'll try to get back on this in the meantime but it's pretty close to finishing and taking a spot on the shelf!
Lucas.

Firstly, that Charger is looking real nice, very sleeperish, and also reminds me of the cop cars in old movies, NICE !!! All the best mate, i have sleeping problems too, the drugs mess with me, so i binned them, and now when i don't sleep, i build models.. Makes for a long day at work sometimes though.

You've made some awesome progress on that Charger! I'm building the same one, though it's on hold because I'm currently working on a car for a *secret* build-off. Anyway good luck, I'm looking forward to seeing your end result.

I have several kits of this car but haven't built one yet. Getting interesting ideas from what you are doing. Keep up the good work.
