Started work on this one. Had this Fire Fighter Mustang chassis and a spare Daytona body. Sized them up and had to trim and file here and there and this is what I came up with. First picture is how it looked after the first fit. The second picture is after I gave the body a good bath, (and yes, I cleaned behind the ears LOL) and did some mods on the interior tub to get the chassis to fit better and snug the tires into the wells better. Have more interior to do but this is getting closer to the stance I like.

Thanks Stitch, Its getting there. Did not like the fitment and small size of this motor so I hit the parts box and put something in a bit more fitting for a prostreet. Got this one to fit in the cradle nicely with exhaust manifolds inside the frame rails. Ditched the stubby wheelie bars as well. Waiting on a parts kit to come my way with much of the missing stuff I need to complete this one. Next is fabbing up an interior for the car.

Got to working on the interior. The chassis hung out below the rockers with the chassis installed. I took 1/8th of an inch out of the interior horizontally and cut a bunch of the floor out. I added evergreen sheet and made a tranny tunnel too. Had to take a section of the dash off to make it fit around the tunnel. There is still work to do to the tub. It needs the tubs, some trimming and bodywork on the seams of the plastic sheet. Next is to build a roll cage and add details, seats and paint. The next body upgrades are going to be cool. Hope I can get it done before I go in the hospital in a week because its going to be sitting for awhile until I get beck on my feet.

Interior redo. The first interior was not as I wanted (and I built it) so it was back to the bench. Started with this with the first interior tub, To this Installed.

Stitch, I am slow, even worse when it comes to finishing them. This interior was not a huge job. I was going to post some pictures of the work that went into this new interior but P bucket is down and my pictures are gone for now. I finished the interior, chassis, motor and trans. I have to modify the hood and thats going to be an interesting job. I have some odds and ends to put on the body, paint it and I have a rear spoiler and total around gound effects to put on the car and its done. Should be done sometime next year the way I do work. I have (no kidding) 40 other builds this close to being done so if I ever get my wits about me I will get them done. My most awesome looking Pro Street is a toss up between three. A 76 Mustang II, a 78 Little Red Express, and this one. Dont know which one will get done first but all three should be done very soon. Chas.

I'm a little like that, I have maybe 6 or 7 unfinished builds and some are close to finished but the details I really want are fighting me. My rough plan is to finish 1 of the ones that are close each month to fit the brackets and do my motm alongside them. My 62 chevy is really just the grille to do and a couple of engine parts to fit last, and my december motm mercedes is just reassemble and find front suspension after it got a free flying lesson. Hopefully this plan will get them finished. I think it's just the modellers curse having unfinished builds, I only took the hobby up again in november 2014, and all these ides need to be started, lol.

What it took to put this interior together, Stock Tub, After the cutting, Pieces used and made, Flat sheet installed, Tubs and trans tunnel installed, Roll cage made on the spot and installed. What you dont see is I used tubing. Before I made the roll bar I drilled small holes at the desired mounting points and installed small rod to make mounting pins. Then as I made the roll bar I bent and fit each part of the roll cage to the pins. I also did the same with the roll cage bars. All if it has mounting pins so it will never come apart.

great job. you did good job on that interior and getting it to sit lower. I have one started that I put the Dobberton chassis under it. ran into a few problems and back in the box it went. like what your doing here.
