Realized the second picture was not right. The wheels were not right so I detailed them like they should have been. Here is a before and after of them.

I really like the first set, but i also really like how the second set was detailed! How did you accomplish that look?

Thanks Mike. I'm not a Ford guy but thought this one was interesting and worth saving. I have a screw bottom 65 or 66 vette convertible I would like to restore the same wayear but the windshield frame is busted in three places. So I'm keeping an eye out for a body but no luck as of yet. Anyhow I have no clue on a color as of yet?

Nowak. They are the same wheels. Took a black fine tipped paint pen and ran it down the spokes and the center area of the wheels and carefully wiped off the extra paint on the areas I painted and then took a silver fine tipped silver paint pen and dabbed all the lugs. Not a big job but a nice touch on the wheels in the end.

What did you use to wipe off the extra paint? any solvents? They look really nice, hard to tell they are the same wheel!

Just a paper towel bud, if you do it right after the paint is applied it comes right off the chrome. Blacking out and wiping off the insides of the spokes and the recesses by the lugs was easy. Getting that little point of the silver paint pen in that little space and not touching the surrounding black was the challenge. Even the raised white letters was done in one try on all 4 tires and those only took about 10 minutes to do. Thanks for the compliments, its really appreciated! Chas.
