Looks good. For flocking/felt, I usually paint he area with a similar paint color. After it dries i paint it again with a set coat and add the flocking on top before it dries. I recommend gloss vs flat because it'll stay wet longer and give you the time to work the flocking. I just did it on the interior floor for my wagon.
I've retest watered doe Wn white glue also works, but I've never tried it myself.
