Some really great builds and some of the best races of the year !!
Heres my entry for the September bracket race. Its a 69 Chevy nova, built out of the box except for plug wires on the motor and flocking and seat belts in the interior. Paint is Blue Sapphire acrylic and Testors wet look clear.
And a few more..
So here is my 1966 Chevelle the paint is a dark candy red
Next is the Motor I went with a Ross Gibson 736ci Nitrous motor I scratch built the NOS lines and added the fuel lines and ran all of the oil lines for the dry sump and the headers are hand built from styrene rod
The interior is your basic race car design the cage was scratch built I added the racing bucket and the Liberty shifter as well as 2 NX express bottles for the spray and a monster tach
The complete chassis was scratch built using the styrene rod the only kit part I used was the wheel tubs
And the there is the classic Chevelle front end
The Centerline Convo Pros as well as the outlaw Cowl induction scoop are both competition resins pieces
And a few more just for GP
This was my first time working with both raw styrene and resin it was also the first time I scratch built that many pieces
Please enjoy
81 Chevy Citation body shortened ... narrowed ... front fenders & hood removed , installed on a dirt track modified
Here is my entry into this already loaded field ! Pro Mod GTO , hope you like it !
And here are a few more!
Guess I'm gonna throw this one back out there
Well I will be the 1st to show my cards. My 5 required and 1 extra
Well guys, we all know just how poor this kit was,
NO engine, or opening hood.
NO interior, just black glass.
Not much else really, only a sweet body style, so!!
I opened up the hood, made a fire wall and inner fenders, support panel , slotted in a blown small block and a radiator.
Made an interior from bits and pieces, then modified some windows too to fit.
Then opened up the truck, and filled it with goodies.
Also hinged the hood and trunk, made a cowl scoop too.
Now it looks like it should, i painted it a pearl gold, and added some silver to the mix for the lower half,
then finished it off with a little bit of BMF.
The wheels are off a di-cast something, that's all they are good for, spare parts..
My 5..
