My required 5 a couple extra with some different angles.
Here's my last minute entry. I was browsing the contestants and remembered I had a 66 Nova as well....and well...I just want to play in the sandbox with the rest of you great fellas!
I did spring a leak on the first run, I think, though.
And a few extras...
Ok, I'm in. Just got her buttoned up.
AMT 66' Nova from the street machines set I bought. Chrome on this kit got frosted, so I wasn't sure I wanted to build it, but I figured what the heck. Color is Wicked Colors Fastback Green. This is the 3rd paint job, as it took two tries to figure out what different base coats did to the color. I wound up with a dark green top, and a bluish silver below the belt line. Wasn't real pleased with how it looked. BUT I thought maybe the kit decals would offset the weirdness of the colors, and it kinda did. (although I HATE decals and rarely use them) Finally figured out that a really sunny day is what this paint needs to "pop" for photos.
Few extras:
Pretty much a box build, I did make my own custom printed decals, was a terror to build, and in plastic land, is a terror on the street!
The Required 5:
And just a few extras.....
gonna pull out my 63 imp SS for this one. she's sporting a top-fuel 409 and a nascar chassis.
enjoy
This is one of the few pro street builds i have left, as i have re-done most of them into pro-touring now days.
It started as a 56 Cameo, gave it a roof chop, pro street tube style front end, tubbed out the rear end,
blown injected alloy V8, but it still wasn't enough, so i hacked the rear guards off a 57 funny car and grafted them on to the 56.
Also modified the interior to make it all fit and work with all the other mods.
Paint is Acrylic...................and obviously PINK !!
Two tone paint, custom made ralley II rims in skinny and fat, Knafel decal set, back half frame from 66 Chevelle, engine from Catalina
Hope you like !!
couple extras
Here is my entry for this month, it's a Austin 50, i narrowed the rear by using a parts box tubbed rear end, used most other parts from the drag car version of the kit, painted in canary yellow and clearcoated.
