Ok the judges sent me all their break down so now I can pass it on. First let me say thanks to DJ and car nut Brian Scott ( he has a collection of mopars ) and ol timer Frank Lutts who has been a body man for almost 50 years ( built so really sweet cars back in the day and he promised to teach me how to do lead work ). One thing I noticed and it could be the age difference but one judge was really into the rat rods while the other was heavy on the hot rods. Both judges told me what a great site we had here and the cars were all top shelf. Very artistic and imaginative ! The also both told me ( and we will have to remember this ) we should have went with one class instead of mixing two. They said they could have very easily picked a hot rod winner and a rat rod winner but it was difficult to do when we mixed them .Ok with all that said I will post ( in no specific order ) and car and then post their comments at the end I will give the results.

[/p] Cord 812 Hot Rod
BS - very nice, loved the choice of power plant. should have shaped the wheel openings to better fit the tires but still very good looking.
FL - unique car to start with, i might have used smaller wheels and used the hood but i could see what you were going for.

Congrats DC , does anyone else want to comment or talk about the judges views ? I do think that from now on we need to pick one class and go with it rather then mix two .

I agree with the 1 class aspect, it is hard to put shiny up against rat, and call them equal, as there is as much or more work in a rat build i think, but they don't usually have that WOW factor, ( as in shiny bling etc ). but have way more detail and weathering in them, 2 completely different styles.

I also agree with DC. Rat Rods and Hot Rods should not be put together.

This was a fun one. Suspense was building after a while. From now on we'll separate these two classes, gentlemen. I can't wait to see Dale build a rat rod. I dont think I've seen a paint job of yours that is NOT shiny. popcorn-and-drink-smiley-emoticon

What did everyone think of the judges comments and what about next years contest . I believe we already know the theme ( right IceMan ) next years winner will also get his location on the next set of shirts we print so that gives everyone a year to prep . We will also be posting the thems for 2016 other contests as well I have so great ones planned !

I think the comments were a bit on the short side myself, thought they would go a little bit more into it, but that is all down to just how "into" modeling they are i suppose. As for next year.......BRING IT ON!!

Agree with Dale. Longer comments would help us improve a bit. Ore. None the less, overall, I think it was a great contest again. The theme is ready. There's a three around here where you finalized he, for a few years. Just gots to find it.
Will also, start a thread to see what ideas you all have for next years MOTM and then we. An vote again and finalize the 12.
