Been wanting this model for awhile. Paid a lot for it too, and I've been saving for the right contest.
So here's some muscle with style and class.
This is one of my all time favorite street car builds, it started with a Max Rat body, with a broken chassis, and a nascar kit with a buggered body......NAS-RAT!
The Nascar chassis was shortened and narrowed to fit under the Malibu body, and used a blend from both cars for the interior.
The engine is the Nascar small block, but after watching street outlaws way too much, i decided it needed MORE POWER!!!!!!
So, a pair of turbo's were now mandatory, they came from the Rick Dobertin J2000 kit, but had to make a manifold, and some inlet plumbing.
The air filter is removable too. Hood scoop was custom made from a few donor parts, to clear this monster.
I also used the Nascar wheels , suspension and and a blend of the exhaust.
Rear wing is from the spares box, but i did make the supports for it. Paint is a home mix of Automotive Acrylic.....which just happens to now be the future color for my VC Sedan. that's how much i like the green/black combo
MY 5
And some candy.
Here is my entry to the race. its been de-chrommed and painted two tone silver and blue, has opening hood and boot.
Thanks
Islandrods
Here is my version of a street cruiser but still carries the muscle
I love the way the front end of these look
On the interior I went with a grey leather / brown leather combo for that cruising comfort
The power is supplied by the 396ci BBC here I added plug wires and heater hoses as well as ran the fuel lines
And the chassis here I ran the fuel line from the tank to the pump and added rear brake lines
This build is probably the best of the skills I have acquired since I came back to modeling 4 years ago. I've had a lot of help and I appreciate all of it. Most of it I acquired in this forum and it means a lot. I have learned something from everybody. Thank You.
I put metal beadlocks on the rear wheels and trimmed the body. This is my first time trimming the body in foil. I wasn't going to mention it because I wanted to see if anybody noticed but because of the shadows you might not see it but the windows are smoke tinted and it came out very well. I found a way to do it that worked well.
Paint is Plasti-Coat automotive acrylic lacquer. Raspberry Metallic.
The engine is my baby of course. Hemi with a 1471 blower, wired injectors and manifold. Duel fuel pumps and dual mags fully wired.
I've waited a long to attempt this build and I'm proud of it no matter what. I sure hope you all like it.
Here are a few more pictures.
here is my Challenger , is it muscle enough?
and a few more
Muscle car, to me, means "Old School" And what's more "Old School" than a muscled up Pontiac GTO
Built "Old School" ways - before I knew about BMF, before I knew of Airbrush, before I "Flocked" interiors, before I Wired engines
For your consideration - an "Old School" '64 Pontiac GTO

I'll jump in here with this General Lee Charger. It's Revell kit with the decals and rims from an AMT General Lee kit. I wish I had left Bo and Luke out, but was originally going to use this in a diaroma. Hope you enjoy...
