Big D, I think this build is seriously cool. I love all the small gold details, and those rivets do come out well in the pictures. I as well like the brass tailpipe - very nice build!

Tom, Frank, Paul, I'm so glad you liked it. My hands hurt a lot so it wasn't all easy. It's not an easy build anyway. It seems you always forget something and I forgot to sand the tires, but I wanted it to look like it just came out of the factory and I guess it does. I saw videos of Juan Manuel Fangio driving this car and it was immaculate. Not grubby. I wanted to do justice to Fangio. Fangio was driving this car in the 1957 Grand Prix at Nurburgring and that race is still to this day considered the greatest display of driving in history. Nurburgring is an Extremely difficult course. He came in for a pit stop and was very late getting out and was far back in the pack. Driving his best for the rest of the race he broke the lap record and then broke his own lap record 10 times in the same race. A record that still stands. He won the race by 3 seconds and his fifth World Championship.

Thanks Dale. I didn't realize the drums showed so much. I should have painted them. Oh well, next time.
