Thought I show a diorama I started on at least 12 years ago and it has went through some major changes since then. Some of you may know this from other sites as it was called Smallville but there was confusion as some people thought I was going to show a Superman dio hence the name change. All but one of the building was purchased from ScalemodelingbyChris, the diner was purchased off of the bay and re-done using Evergreen tile sheet plastic.I made a change to part of it as I traded the on of the buildings to a hobby shop our club holds meetings at,so this area is still up for grabs as to what I want to do with it.Anyhoo, here are a few pics and the link to the photo album. Thanks and enjoy. An aerial view of how big it is. This building is from Scale Equipment LTD Here is the link to the photo album Speed Valleylink

That is a very cool setup! I have been thinking more and more about displaying my models in a diorama form. The only problem is I don't have the room in my house to display everything.

Ahhhh, I DO love this display! It takes space, yes, and a lot of time to create. Questions: how you keep dust off? Do you leave the model vehicles there or put them somewhere safer? Finally, I would suggest for others with dreams as large, but little room, a 3X3 or 4X4 foot single base with a couple buildings and parking lot. Different vehicles can be placed periodically at the scene and fotos taken. These mini-worlds are the dreams many of us had long ago as children. Now, we can make our own scale towns!

thanks for the comments and showing interest.I move around the models from time to time,in other words,i remove some some add different ones for a while and repeat the process over,The summer months are when it's the most difficult to keep clean although it's really not that bad,I have some makeup brushes I use for dusting off the models and as far as the buildings go I just let them be not as much dusting to those as they are kinda enclosed.I'm going to be adding another small section as I think the town needs a mini junkyard,so that's what I'll be busy with this summer,I'll be posting pics of WIP as I go along and any helpful suggestions/tips will be appreciated.
