Another model show this week.
I participated in a local model show put on a couple times a year by a local hobby shop in my area. The hobby shop primarily caters to rail roading, but they support all forms of modeling, and one of those ways is by doing this "parking lot" show a couple times a year. I buy most of my styrene stock from this shop and that's how I got sort of hooked up with the local modelers.
So...here are some pics from this little show. Hope you guys find something you like in it.
Of course there was the table of yours truly.
This was down at the first end. Not a great pic of this nicely done ship. I really do suck at picture taking
This table is a friend of mine set up next to me. Rett builds mostly roundy round type cars you may see at a local track. Some are of ones he remembers from his racing days.
This table was on the other side of me. Got to talking to him so much I missed getting pictures of a couple tables.
This table was a couple of women at least in their seventies. The German halftrack and gun is going to be part of a diorama depicting an ambush on a Sherman tank that goes wrong.
These are all wood
HO scale dioramas
These are by a guy that also showed me pics of a 10 foot long model of the Titanic he has in is dining room. He built it from scratch and said he has 15 years in it. It was stunning and superbly detailed. Wish I had pics of that to show you.
Then this table
Then this guy who does some nice military dioramas. He said his teenage daughter built all the aircraft.
And I'll just bunch the rest of the tables in a group. I didn't get to talk to any of these people so I really didn't get any info from them.
