Had a great day at the race track yesterday, the feature was the V8 Super Cars, which are the ones that run the Bathurst 1000. Also, we had the Touring Car Masters, which are 60's and 70's muscle cars. most, now running up to 750 HP. Even your mate, Roger Penske has come down under and joined our series. And the Aussie Race Cars, which are a 2/3 scale (approx) with a 1200cc motorbike engine, they are Holdens, Fords, Nissans ,Toyotas, and this year they have released a Mustang and Comaro body. AND NOW THE REAL CARS. XA/XB Falcon Some American ring in's. Aussie Charger. running 650hp 340 V8 This 1968 Valiant pacer has a 500HP 265 Hemi 6cyl, amazing how quick it is. And some more. Slant 6 Nissan V8 sUPERCAR ENGINE.

I bet that was a bunch of fun! Thanks for sharing. The older stuff reminds me of the early Trans Am racing here

Nice pics, the engine in that blue valiant pacer looks like you could eat your dinner off it. Really clean and nicely detailed, more like a show car. I'm going to assume you've seen the "taming the beast" documentary/film

THANKS for sharing Dale! The 2/3rds size cars are interesting to say the very least! No Mopars tho That stinks! BUT maybe someday! Imagine a 2/3rds size Superbird or Daytona in their...... HMMMM that make the race a bit more interesting LOL ANYWAY the full sized cars look GREAT old ones, doing what they originally designed to do.....I BET it was a BLAST! I LOVE the engine shots of the 6 cylinders, thats just plain out AWESOME 500 HP on a 6 popper.....AWESOME! AND then ya dump a Slant 6 in there as well with what looks to be a nicely chromed STOCK valve cover! AND it has Webers on it too feeding the cause, (Makes me wonder what kinda output that might have) Thanks man! I remember races like that in my home town on a ole dirt track that back in the day I was part of a race team (did a lot of painting for the team car, and did a bit of work on the '73 Dusters 340 power plant to keep the ole girl runnin'..... So this sort of racing on a PAVED track, I could have only wished!
