Now that I have every ones attention! ... I wanted to get the suspension and running gear assembled for the engine debut, however I have to paint the radiator shell before I can attach the front suspension so that's not happening... impatient-smiley-emoticon Here's the kit the engine is from... Motivation is going to be from the leaning tower of power slant six! Back in the 80's There were a bunch of these around that could be had for little or nothing! They are tough as nails and anyone who's ever owned one will tell you they are practically indestructible! Back in the day, I heard about adding a turbo to one of these and thought that would be cool! (yeah, I've always been weird like that) anyway, I never did build that engine, but now I can in 1/25th scale. Since a VW hotrod is rather odd, I thought that a Turbo Slant Six would be just odd enough to fit right in! smiley-confused005 So The Turbo came from a junk Stealth kit I had laying around.

GREAT choice of engine mate, i had a slant many years ago, and it was quicker than the 360 v8 i have now, it went like stink!!! Now, adding the turbo,.........what a great addition, you will struggle to keep those wheels on the deck with that in the rear.

A SLANT ---^ (I somehow missed that one!) I can tell you Alan, that my friend is an AWESOME idea! two-thumbs-up-smiley-emoticon Honestly. your right on the ole 225 Slant-6....They were in fact damn near indestructible! I can also tell you I KNOW of 2 instances of a Slant 6, 225 C.I.D. having a blower on one, thats producing 475 HP! This was a local place to me where I grew up, The owner Kevin as far as I know STILL has this and runs it regularly! THEN another local to me now in New Hampshire also have a Slant 6, BUT has a turbo on it and he's getting a DYNO rated 545 HP! AND he too runs his regularly, (I see him every week parked with it at a car show), NEXT time I see him, I'll look in to getting pics of this I THINK its in a '72 Dart/Swinger car, in rather nice shape! big-drooling-smiley-emoticon

Well, This model is finished. I need to take the final pictures and post them here. Problem is that I've not been able to get my droid to synch with my pc for the past week or so. I'm not very tech savy and my wife's kids haven't been over to help me with this issue. I will get them posted, I'm not sure if they'll be posted in time for the contest.

Hey Alan. I'm looking forward to seeing this one. Have you tried emailing them from your phone to your PC? It's probably the easiest way without syncing.
