okay, while I'm not much for contests. I would like to enter this one. the theme is not exactly in my comfort zone either. But, what the heck, I aint skeered. So, I'll build both a rat rod & a hot rod............heck, I'll even build a movie car. Have to check the stash and see if I even have a suitable candidate: aha...a nice unbuilt willys: well, it looks like a great kit, and it will showcase my painting skills.........LOL.

well, here is an update on the willys coupe. prepped the body, shot it in primer.......then took a long hard look at the movie car, decided the molded in trim on the revell kit had to go. it was not visible on the movie car, so....sanded, prepped a second time, waited for decent weather and finally got it re - painted and rubbed out. this revell kit also only has one seat.......dug around in my parts box and found a nice pair of seventies era buckets. also found out the kit comes with a supercharged 392 HEMI, while the movie car is a 426 HEMI.....no problem, as I can scrounge a few of those up. also there are two versions of 426 HEMI in this particular movie car, as one version is a 2 X 4 bbl street hemi, and the racing scenes features a supercharged hemi with an injector hat. I believe this version will just be a 2 X 4 bbl 426 Street Hemi.
