Hemi 6 cylinder!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NICE 2 of them even!
Dennis, my friend, that green car in the second picture happens to have a built up Hemi 6 cylinder.......... an engine we in the USA NEVER got to see from Mopar, but they are a lot of go like hell for their size! There was 2 different sizes, the 245 and the 265....

Glad you guys like our rides, HemiJ, there was a 215 as well, then the slant @ 225, then 245 and 265. The 265 that came out in the Charger, with triples was good for a 14.1 1/4 mile, from the factory, and also good for 140mph. It was faster than the v8's of the day.

Dale, So....your telling me that they made a 215 Hemi too? OR is that a normal wedge headed 6 cylinder? I know they made the 170 198 and 225 Slant 6, and then hit the 245 and 265 Hemi's..... BUT the 245 and 265 Hemi's were Aussie based Mopar only..... What exactly was the 215?

BUT the 245 and 265 Hemi's were Aussie based Mopar only..... What exactly was the 215? A smaller version mate. I can't get any more technical than that. Many years ago, my mate raced a Charger ( aussie one ) at the speedway, to limit the advantage, Fords were only allowed a 221 CI, Holden were allowed a 202 and Chrysler were allowed a 215. As chrysler (265 ) and ford (250) both made way bigger 6cyl engines than holden. (202 ) So, said mate got a 265, ground off the 6, and replaced it with a 1, big advantage, and nobody had a clue.
