Going to have to repaint the tops of the fenders. A mysterious chip appeared on it while I was out this morning. Apparently nobody was anywhere near it at all, but everything around it has been tidied away? Must have been the invisible fairies again.

Stitch. Like the build , looks great in that Green. The interior colors look right on with it all. Sorry the invisible fairies paid a visit, but I know you'll get er fixed up... Its coming along real nice , will be sweet when done..

Thanks guys, I'm just copying a rod I have a pic of. I liked the contrast between the dark and the white, but couldn't bring myself to paint it purple (long story from my days working in the garage)
Edit; And I dont want to mask one piece chassis/fenders again

That white will make a NICE "shadow" effect too............. And as you know a GREAT "contrast" of colors! So your copying a pic of a real car? the frame? Purple? Not sure I got that comment right, what was purple that you'd have to tape off parts?

I've never got on well with purple paint though so I went for dark green instead

Just got the steering column to paint now and I can get onto assembly. I had to shorten my intake manifold a little as I mocked it up on a 1/24 engine but when I went to fit it on the 1/25 it was too long but strangely was the right width. Going to be doing my first bmf on this too so possibly going to be some questions when I get it home. Also there's a box on the firewall that I have no clue what it is(chrome in the last pic)

Looking good stitchd! The box on the firewall looks like a voltage regulator to me.

Has anyone else built this kit? If so how did you get around the engine mounts not letting the engine fit as in the instructions. If i fit the engine to the mounts there is no room for the grille, but if I pull the engine back so the grille will fit the body wont fit.

I've never had any problems on any of the Revell variations of this kit. Is there any way you could post a pic?

I got it to fit after removing the mounting pin from under the gearbox and glueing the broken mount to the block before glueing it to the frame.

Everything matches up really nice on this Stitch. Color combo is great and the wheels and the engine really set it off. Looking real good!!
