American Grafitti: 10 year later was the theme. Congratulations to Dale for putting together this wonderful build. Great story, too. Good job, bud. THE STORY. Junior was always in the back ground, he could not afford a car of his own, like all his other mates, the best he could do was borrow his mums 57' Chev on the odd occasion. Then he got a casual job down the local Garage, fixing tyres, pumpin' gas, nothing special but it was a slow stream of cash coming in each week. Then he would tune his moms car, on the sly he fitted a 4bbl to it, she wont notice, just keep putting a bit more fuel in it on the sly. This gave him a bit more street cred when he did manage to borrow the old girl. Then the exhaust "needed doing", so on went a pair of stainless mufflers, she sounded better and went a little faster, just pay half the bill, Mom wont know. Then he got a set of wide rear wheels and some slicks, he would put them on Saturday night, have a race or two, then change them over before going back home that night. This worked well for a while, UNTIL.................................................WHAM!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where the hell did he come from......... ?? The game was up, the car was totaled , and he was found out. The old girl was parked in the hay shed, and went no further.

Graham Thank you everybody, it is a privilege to head up the forum with one of my builds. Graham, i have noticed the same thing, everybody is feeding of each others different ideas and ways of doing things, which i think is what a good forum is all about, helping each other improve their builds and skill set , which brings more satisfaction to their own finished product. Glad you are one of those picking up lots of tips and ideas mate. THANKS AGAIN EVERYBODY.
