here's what i'm bringin to the table. i combined an AMT 55 stepside with a Mike Skinner Goodwrench Chevy.
enjoy
I have only built 2 Nascars, (will do a special one soon),
one of Dale sr just after his death, and this one.
The body was broken when i opened it, so, i though that this was a sigh!!
So i went for the "after race" effect.

Not a big Nascar builder, but I do love me some Mopar. So it goes without saying my only Nascar build would be a Petty Plymouth. Revell 67' GTX kit w/ Johan 64' petty decals. Resin popped Holman Moody rims by me, from a club members stash. No pics of interior (probably came out crappy anyways !) but I did use a single bucket with a plywood side brace that petty had used back before custom molded buckets they use nowadays. Reference: Cars of the King.
Just a little dirt tracking built after a local track (Kokomo Speedway ) that runs these every week end with out the big wings and are just as exciting to watch
to check out the track go to WWW.Kokomo Speedway .net (if interested) , also carries the name of a famous engine builder Earl Geatre (pronounced Gerty)
of my home town of Rochester IN. who sadly passed away three years ago but his business is still open and in high demand ! Builds all kinds of engines
but specialized in Sprint car Engins for the last 40 years . so this is for EARL a great man !! smileyCA9464IN_zpsd9ee499f
When's the last time that you saw a model of a Mercury Bobcat? This is a Mercury Bobcat Open Modified powered by a 598cu. in. Haase BOSS 9, with Hilborn injection, producing around 1.000HP. The heads and decals are home made.
heres the one im going to enter this month.
Thought I would throw in my 50th Anniversary Chevy Monte Carlo. Was a hard toss up between this and the Kevin Harvick, rookie "raced version" car I built.
But I thought since there was a "raced version" already in the bracket, I would go with this car - was a fun build, went together nicely. Did not have a full on front shot, so I opted for a front / side, then a rear / side for the first two, hope this falls within the guide lines.
And a few extras - thanks for looking!!
