I er have to laugh at some of the buyers on ebay A week ago I bid on some Hemi Dart stuff (3 different items same seller) from a separated kit, I figured that if I won I'd have some more parts that I need without buying a whole kit Well before you know it I get outbid emails on two of them & I bid as far as I wanted to after that someone else took over
the final winner got the Race tires & wheels & the basic Dart kit with S/S hood no engines, windows, chrome or box/instructions etc for $27.59+ $8.00 shipping I got the S/S intake, carbs, air cleaners & deep sump pan for $2.50 +2.50 shipping
I pay $25.85 shipped to the door for that whole kit & that's even after paying MO sales tax

-Bob, ya shoulda sent me a PM on that deep sump oil pan! I got TONS of them! both true styrene and casted resin! (one of the first details I molded!).....
BE SURE to let me know BEFORE, I may have it man remember, I'm molding all sorts and would have taken out the hassle too! LOL
But GHK is right, just like 1:1, they're worth more in parts, useable parts then whole! Shipping hurts with some of it, as they don't charge actual cost! Set rate for anything no matter big or small! Thats evilbay for ya!

Yup. If it's the seller I'm thinking of, he buys complete kits and then sells them in parts. He makes out pretty good. It's usually not the same buyer bidding on all the parts because like you said its cheaper to buy the kit as a whole. He buys kits from me often Nd we've had conversations about it. With the more rare kits he easily double what he pays.
To each their own is right.

I was talking about the crazy buyer I've done well in the past selling the AMT Tyrone Malone stuff in parts along with some other stuff I just couldn't get the sense behind buying part of a kit for more than the whole kit
