Ok, I see my other post about materials, went down in flames, so here are some of the tools I use in my kustom building? Great wet, or dry, leave a lil spongie behind to hold the water, use with light pressiure, even works for sanding, filler to a fine shape, cut from a scrubie sponge. Now I use my files allot, and I do mean allot, so I got a wire brush from Ace Hardware, I also do allot of block sanding, well I didn't need a 5 mile handle on the brush, so I cut the brush into 3 sections, and vola, have 2 sanding blocks that are easy to control, and a wire brush. Great wet sanding block, I would suggest ya get the thin sponge, as it will give ya better control when wet, I use a bigger one because I have been known to use the old style Crest Tooth past, for polishing, and wet sanding, no of course ya cant use the newer tooth paste, why? it doesn't have ultra fine silica in it, plus this is real gentle when used right, it will conform around curves, and there's no need to press so hard. Now I can't remember where my ex got this lil set up, yet I'm sure a web search will help ya find one, but man I'm glade she did, has all the blades, and handles I use in kustomizing. And there ya have it, just a few tools in the attic I use.

Good Tips.
Always using sanding blocks of some sort, even tried a cordless toothbrush with the bristles cut off
using double backed automotive tape to secure the sandpaper to the brush head..can use any grit paper
you like -- works pretty good..also made a lot of "blocks" out of plastic flat stock and round stock..
Have to improvise with this hobby right? Again Good Tip's -- thanks for posting.

Tools? OMG you all have no idea! LOL I'll just post, YOU ask the questions! LOL My work "area" went from this ---^ To: Just for "Model Cars" As I have a whole "shop really, meant just for modeling.....I owned a repair and custom shop for scale model trains....Like Lionel.... only half the size! Have a look: Now, you talk about tools? I use Dremels, (there are about 8 of them in and around my shop, and then you have ALL the hand tools, to many to list, BUT what you don't see very often is this: This tool ---^ Thats my "Unimat" Machining center, that one machine transforms from a Milling Machine, to a Metal Lathe within seconds! I can machine anything a large machine can do of the same type machine, just not as big of parts....This little machine makes all sorts of things possible! I can not tell you how much/often its used, AT LEAST once a day! Then, hanging from the ceiling (figure this one out) it hangs from the ceiling, BUT is controlled by a foot pedal on the floor, and works wonders! Right side of the picture, my Dremel "Advantage" with a flex shaft and foot pedal control, it hangs to span both a work bench, AND able to be used at the Unimat if needed! AND then, a loyal companion, My Dog, He is my Wifes Dog as her Dad got him for her, but he's mine if that makes any sense..... Shop Dog: I got WAY more tools then I have pictures of but I'm sure you guys will understand once you see whats in this single posting of mine! LOL
