With that said I did buy and build that Thumper and I must say it was very detailed but NOTHING fit together worth a lick I ended up fabricating more parts for the motor than I actually used (exagerating of course) but it sure seemed that way so next time I think of using one of those motors I will surely think 4 times

It always needs work...always. I'm curious what you had to fabricate and if you have pictures of it. He ones I've built have been pretty complete.

Only ever built 1 Gibson engine, would not waste my money next time, the quality is rubbish personally, Hemi John's quality of casting is so much better i think.

It always needs work...always. I'm curious what you had to fabricate and if you have pictures of it. He ones I've built have been pretty complete. Like I had said I expected to work it for the fit issues but the main piece I had to fab was the intake I sanded and worked the runners so much to fit the head by the time they "fit" the upper plenum wouldn't come close to fitting so I made that out of styrene and some of the resin pieces I also had to scratch build the headers and before I get roasted on saying that yes I was completely aware that I was probably going to have to build those as well then I played heck getting the oilpan to fit the bottom of the block I had to remove all of the detailing of the crank, main caps rods caps etc. to get the pan to kind of cover the bottom of the motor the last big thing was the transmission I had to pull a bellhousing and the lenco off of a different motor to get a better fitment with this motor... With all of that said it was my first time using one of these motors and resin as well after my build was complete I was/am happy with the completed build... I guess my biggest gripe was for $30 just for the motor itself I kinda expected a little more that could just be me I do have pics of my build but I kinda want to save it for one of the contests but so far I keep seeing the terms "Street legal" and "Full exhaust"
