This was my first attempt at a short track oval car and my first time hand-painting letters and numbers, so there may be some rough spots, lol. After watching this kind of racing for the first time about 5 or 6 years ago, I knew I had to build one some day. I tried to build it as close to the street stock rules at Agassiz speedway (about an hour and a half drive from my city) as possible. This was a fun build and even though there's some mistakes, I think it turned out ok. It's one of the amt modified stocker kits with parts box wheels and tires, Scratchbuilt exhaust and a small block chevy from a 1980 monte carlo kit.

This is Righteous a great build . Being a semi retired driver/owner of this type cars (street stocks...thunder cars...bombers different names different tracks) you got this right on man very well done . I have the complete set of Modified Stockers have all built except two to complete the set . When I get them done I'll post pics of the set all done . I have one posted on here (65 Chevelle) the others were built before joining JC's . My last real race car is my avatar pic . Raced it since 1999 (only 6 complete seasons) the rest was now and then races finish 5th in points in 2005 with that car at Bunker Hill speedway track closed in 06 . raced at Kokomo speedway Plymouth speedway Gas City I-69 speedway and others from then on , now I just use it for Trailier Raceing . Anyway great job on your Buick you should build some more !!

Thanks for all of the nice comments guys . Very cool that you used to race these kinds of cars, Gardner. I would be pretty nervous strapping into any short track circle car, it seems like very intense racing lol. Is the car in your avatar a Malibu? or a another mid or full size gm product? Cant tell exactly, but it looks neat!

Yes it can get very...very intense some times but there's absolutely no greater feeling then taking that last lap Checkered flag knowing you just won and beat 'em all what a rush !!! . The car started out as a 77 Pontiac Catalina 4 door now runs 78 Impala 4 door body (third Chevy body I used same chassis) when I was racing it started with 350 Pontiac after it expired Chevy 350 last motor was a 355 Chevy now trailer racing has 250 Chevy straight six still a lot of fun though !! Thanks

Trailer racing with a chevy straight six....that is too cool! bowdown-right, probably has a pretty unique sound I imagine?
