Hello guys, probably you guys won't believe this, but i've been building this project for more then 4 years, yeuuuup, 4 years, but is been in the box most of the time, i take it out when i have my MOJO and do a little details always, well, this time i got it out for good, while waiting for parts to get dry from my other projects i start again doing some stuff to this amazing car, not going to go into the details on this one now but yes in the next post for sure but you guys can ask me anything you want to know of course The only this i want to mentioned on this now is that for the very first time this project is on his own wheels, and man looks and feel amazing, the wheels are not glue yet but i need to do some work on those area before doing that...

My jungle Jim look diferent now, yes i did a lot, striped the paint, fix the firewall for better fit, work on the bars for open the body (Don't know the name of that), engine needs a lot of details, basically fuel lines and seatbelts, after that is work again on the body to complete this long long project, whish i started on May of 2017, go figure, but i'm happy how is turning...

Looking good Marcos. Yeah, the interior tins never fit well with this kit. Turning mine into the Green Elephant. Gonna display it with the 1/16th scale version from Atlantis when they are both done...

thanks Guys, this project is getting better thanks for the advices and all the help... PETE: that sounds like a great idea man, if i find another of this kits probably going to do the same thing, i think i can start looking for that... Here's another update on this bad boy, body primed, fisrt base color, this time was gold, and testors custom blue, i think came out a lot better then the first time and a lot smoother, i'm think to shout lite coats of clear before adding the decals, and then the final clear coats First i cut the top of the blower area on the firewall part to make some room over there, add a piece of styrene sheet to cover the areaThen i primered the body with krylon black primer, added Testors Gold as a base color, and then shout some Testors Custom Blue, is a translucid paint and in person looks very cool, like a candy blue, but not that candy...

Looks amazing Marcos!!! great finish on that paint.. D.O.I. (Distinctness Of Image) is outstanding! That's the clarity of the images reflected in the paint. Considering that... I personally would put the decals over the paint as it stands, then clear coat/cut and buff. Up to you of course Marcos, You do what you are comfortable with . Its gonna be stunning either way!!

Thank you guys,
Thanks Pete, definitely going want a smoother finish on this car, but yeah i can go with it like it is now, and i feel tempted but i want to go just a little bit more smooth of what it is now..
Thank you Paul, yes i try to cover most as i can on the details, this project is been around my bench for little over of 4 years, and i want to do most details as i can, every time i learn something new i just jump into and do it, but is almost time to complete this real badass car, my next one will be more faster the 4 years for sure LOL

One little FYI. JJ's Vega was one of the last self starting funnycars. Most all went to blower drive starting about 1973 early 1974. Our 1972 Plymouth Funny had starter and booster plug. I'll post pics if you want reference for the future. Paul

I'll put them here for you. Paul The silver panel on the chassis by the rear of the engine is the battery booster hook up and the power light. Any good engine /chassis photos of Micky Thompsons Pinto funny's have the battery / starter set up for even the Ford Boss 9 engine. I do have more photo in my files. Here is a link to my funnycar build detail steps. Paul public.fotki.com/ptcheshire/funnycar-details/
