So that's a very pieced together kinda body in that kit? Looks like your tackling it ok though! This stuff helps me a lot because I hate to buy a kit, and then find out it isn't what I was expecting later!

Yeah,it's a 7 piece body, you could just glue it together but it looks much better when the seams are filled in.

The paint i'm using on this build is folkart metallic craft paint thinned out with washer fluid and airbrushed,so far I have the Pearl white base coats and two coats of rustoleum clear done. I'm gonna let that dry for a couple of days and then mask it off for some 60's style graphics.

I just love it, the color is amazing!! These craft paints really make me think. You say you thin it with washer fluid? That sounds so weird, but then you can use rubbing alcohol also then? Putting clear over that type of paint would scare my to do!! Do some type (brands) of paints wrinkle up on this paint?
Sorry for all the questions,
David S.

Questions are no problem my friend that's how we all learn from each other. The brands of craft paint that I use are Folkart and Apple Barrel I clear these paints with Rustoleum Lacquer or Duplicolor enamel with no problem at all I only use windshield washer fluid I never tried rubbing alcohol so I don't know if that would work or not.

I need to dig out my air brush !!!!!! I agree completely!! I have been using rattle cans for a long time now because I have no spray booth. So I paint out on our deck, and in Wisconsin, that is most often a real problem!! David S.
