Been looking forward to building this one every since I got it. Going box stock not sure about the color yet and I'm also going to try to wire the strait 6.

Got the engine and transmission painted went with Ford engine blue for the motor and a shade of gray for the transmission. You can also see the yellow spray paint behind them that's the color I'm going with this one.

Well have the drivers side of the engine put together going to let it fully dry then try to wire this thing. Don't really understand why my engine is showing up so dark blue it's actually a lot lighter.

Thank you iceman. I've seen some built on Facebook people do all kinds of things with them. From dropping them on the ground to someone built a monster truck with one lol. It's a really detailed kit I can grant you that much

So I got thinking I had a parts truck an early 80's model with the step side bed just wondering what way you guys think it would look better?

Personally I like the fleet side best, but you can't go wrong with the step side either.

Looking real nice Mike , great choice of a kit and very cool engine you done , myself if I was going with a step side pick up I would use a 56 Ford bed as that closer to a factory 69 bed then the 80's bed , just my 2 cents worth Should be a awesome build this is a great kit

I may be biased since my older brother own a 69 ford like this back in the day!

I'm with AK on this one. The original box is perfect in my opinion.

Oh man, hate to do this......... BUT.........
Embedded in your last post was the phrase.....
"Think I will just stick with the original bed so I can put some bmf on it"
To anyone that does not build regularly - THAT HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR SOUNDING NAUGHTY!!!! LOL

LOL running-around-smiley-emoticon forehead-slap-smiley-emoticon Got to be careful what you write Mike.... I like the original tray, the lines flow the whole length of the truck that way i think, good job on the engine too..

Definitely do believe I will be getting another one of these kits and doing some major kit bashing. Getting the kit for just the frame lol. I know 78 ford's had that style of flare side bed on it because I use to own one so bash that kit with a 78 ford kit and that spare bed. Lol

Well unfortunately I hated the yellow paint I went with on this build so I stripped it going with a totally different color probably going to put all my parts back in the pool and try to strip it a little better on the up side everything else is painted
