Ok, Her Hawkeyes won - yay My Lions won, barely, YAY! Sat down at bench 2 - started sanding all the lines from putting arms and head and plane, etc together. Holy crap, A TON of lines!! Then mocked up together the kit, as it comes.......  NOPE - NOT ENOUGH Grabbed the F-15 parts...  Picked out some stuff I may be able to use....  After cutting and sanding, another mock up - now we are getting somewhere.  Needing something better in the back, lets cut up a fighter....   More sanding to get this rear tail rudder to fit - glued her down. Still going to use the kits original wings, on the sides at the rear, and some nose wings, and maybe even a lower, underbody section of wings, (the original tail rudder, only upside down!)  |

Got all the wings on... letting it set up a bit then will hit with some prime, and more filling and sanding I am sure   Mock up with Freddy in the seat - NOPE, do not like the arm going to the back wings  This is more what I am after, up and plan to have him holding a bomb to throw. BUT, the hand is backwards, soooooo - chopped it off!! Hey, it is October!!   Hand and arms on - lets get some more primer flying again!!   And she is all primed white, on the top anyways, got some filling and sanding to do for sure. Thinking maybe another wing, on top of the rudder maybe?  ?  |

Thank ya Joel, and Chris!!! Got just a little update.... I am going to make me some custom decals for this bird. As I am working on decals for a trio of guys here, figured may as well see if I can find something to fit the theme. Oh wait, you guys don't know the theme yet, hehehehehe -  Anyways, while we were running around, seen this in a store, and thought to myself, Hey! there is a big nose gun!! LOL Have no clue why I bought it, kind of felt silly buying it, BUT, its here now...  Got all the bombs and missiles put together, going to get some primer on them, and then will think of colors for each group of bombs and missiles. I think we will have enough Weapons of Mass destruction!!! Buhwahahaha!!!  |

I love it. It's going to look over the top with all those missiles attached. Reminds of silly cartoons with a bunch of acme missiles. I can't wait!

Well, with the late nights again this week, (pulled a 14 yesterday - and back at it this morning at 0630), I did manage to get the plane sprayed Tuesday night, then last night I started to paint up all the bombs - holy crap there is a lot of them! Still trying to figure out how I will get them all on this thing! LOL

Well, after our weekly zoo walk this morning, I got in some bench time. Here on bench 1, I threw some clear effex on the silver weirdo plane - not sure I like it. Even in the sunshine, it still just looks gray, sure, looks like a plane now, BUT not what I was hoping. I may just spray it again with chrome, and throw some future on it to see if it stays chrome - GRRRRRR    A couple shots of some details I added to the smaller bombs and missiles Finally getting the big fuel tanks ready for what i think will be a copper color, should have pics of these this week    And started on Freddy, masked off and sprayed the helmet with a unique, colormax metallic. No matter what i do, still have the center line coming through on the helmet, thinking a feather mohawk or something to just cover it up! LOl  |

LOL - thanks Frank! I know what you mean, holy crap, I have a bunch of stuff to put on this sucker - 
Anyways, I re-sprayed the plane last night, went back to silver - after that clear effex clear coat turning it gray, was just not getting it for me. I mean, sure, it looked like a real plane - BUT, this is a Weirdo! It's not supposed to be real!! So I will let this set up and see if a little future will keep it a chrome silver, or I may just try a little polish, unsure yet.
