Notice something different with my workspace? So with the tradition of blowing **** up on Independence Day my little boy got scared and wanted to hide under his dad's work table. So I guess I got a new roomie!

Must be where he felt safe, shows you are who he trusts to keep him safe

I don't remember it being this bad last year but for some reason this year all the noise got to him. He would hear a POP and run downstairs and hide under that table. I'd go get him and coax him out but even in the basement we would hear POP and back under the table he went. Finally I decided to put his bed under there because if he felt safe there I wouldn't move him. Gave me a good excuse to stay up and work on a model!
Fiance: John, are you coming to bed? Me: I will once Jet goes to sleep.... and this glue sets.....
Jet and I have always had a good connection, I noticed it when I got him 3 years ago. I found him through an animal shelter's website and knew I wanted him. I spent the weekend putting up a fence and on Sunday afternoon drove out to the shelter. When I got there I asked to see him and he pulled so hard that he was on his hind legs trying to get to me. I told the lady who worked there "I'm taking him home, do what you need to, I'll sign whatever but I'm taking him" She asked "Don't you want to take him out and walk him a bit?" I said "Sure, but while we are out there get whatever paperwork ready. He's coming with me." We walked around a bit and I would talk to him telling him how good he looked and how much he would love his new home. I went back inside, signed on the dotted line, and he laid on the floor in my GTO the whole way home. Never left my side since then. He's a good boy.

That's awesome JK - I know just what you mean when you see an animal, they see you, and that's that! We also have ALL shelter animals. A Doberman, a little tank, (like a Shepard and some kind of small dog mix), and one cat, that eats engines, the plastic ones anyways, LOL
