Got quite a bit done last night, lettered, (decals), one side of all the tires - had to put an additional coat of flat on them this morning - decals kind of old, so hoping they don't look too bad. Installed Seat, oil can, and got some suspension done. Realized I have to go to Hobby lobby for some more decals sheets - I'm OUT!!! GRRRRRRR. Got a lot of the little guy done, soon time to start putting him together, thank god, kind of freaky with body parts laying about - LOL Sure hope the contingency decals hold up and lay well - I may have to improvise those as well - older decals suck! I should have some pics soon - forgot to snap them, but will tonight I should

Looks like the decals held - opted to wait another day to do the other sides - should have them done tonight.
Still in the mix of the horror movie "Evil Dead" with body parts - quite tedius I will say, but hey, driver even has eye brows!. Getting closer to putting together Frankenstein
Rough draft of the decals I am making for this build - secret is out - as you can see, I am making another Alzheimer's Awareness tribute like the NASCAR build. My bad, took picture of them upside down, LOL - Must be from being weirded out with human body parts all around - Ha!
Couple quickies of the shell, seat, suspension parts added. Front bumper lip, tonight should be the axles. Then letter the opposite side of tires, also print and spray a couple sheets of decals.

Thanks Stitch - and yes sir, it sure is. Watched my Mother-In-Law die from this. She got it early, was only 57 or so, by the time she was 62, she did not know anyone anymore. Had the child of a mind, and then the last couple years after that, well, it just got worse. My wife was so strong through it all, and I did my best to stay by her side through it as well, but it sure left a lasting impression. Nobody deserves to go out like that, to lose all memory of everything. That's why we do so much volunteering for Alzheimer's

I look after my grandmother who has it and used to look after my older aunt that ended up in a home because hers got so bad. My gran is not getting put into a home as it's my opinion that she should be with her family. If I'm away even just for a couple of days, now I see big changes in her state of mind. I certainly hope I never get it

You for sure are well aware then, of what this disease entails. If nobody has told you lately, I will, thank you for everything you do in the care you provide. You should be honored for everything you do bud, I for one know it is not easy, not easy at all. And I wish that you do not acquire the disease as well - my friend across the pond.
I also have all the "pointers" for it, that AND Leukemia, so I am trying to live and enjoy the rest of my years as best I can. Kids are doing well, and on their own now, so I figure, there is life insurance for them when I am gone, so I live like tomorrow is not coming.
Guess I should be saving money, but darn it, if spending money gets us a couple nice cars and a plastic hobby that makes me happy, then that's what I will do!
I just wish I did not have to work so many hours for all the stuff, you know?
Oh well - worker bee - that be me. Just a squirrel, tryin to get a nut!

Got lots of bench time in today - but if this front bumper comes off again, it will be melted - gonna wait till later to reinstall Rear end, rear axle, shocks / suspension in - little parts breaking off here and there, thus the glue bomb areas - no worries, these will be touched up After running to HobbyLobby - came back, worked out, feelin better - gonna get after some decals. First up, I tried the top wing, NO GO for me, I will probably hand paint what needs to be white and re-lay another clear decal. Then I got on a roll, combining the contingency decals from the kit, and my own custom ones. Hope to have all decal-ed and cleared tonight. Next issue, my tires are the Sh))))ts!!!!! I may be looking on evil bay for a new set - decals were too old, I had some other Hoosier ones, not the right size. I will see what they look like tomorrow

Thank you Joel - I do appreciate that - making these decals can sometimes be a real bugger Actually, I have a wild plan. Since I have a custom NASCAR, and now this Sprint Car, gonna go even further, and do a funny car, a rail dragster, the race hauler, (for the funny car), probably make a pro stock, Indy car, drag bike, anything and everything racing. Thinking to try and build a huge stable of different race cars, kind of a fictional Alzheimer's Awareness Race Team theme.

Thank you Sharp and Big D - means the world!! Gonna go do the zoo this morning, (we usually do each Sunday - get in 4 or 5 miles at least), then I will get back after it this afternoon. Can't wait to get this sucker running! If the tires have not dried / cooperated, (afraid to check them until i get back - LOL), I may have a plan where I can still use them. BUT THAT'S TOP SECRET UNTIL THE FINAL PICS - HEHEHEHE - .............

Thanks Paul - but just so you know - I AINT SKEERED!!!! Gettin some more progress today - more to follow - wont be long now until we get that green flag and some hot laps! Tires are seeming to cooperate, a little, again - I had to hand draw/paint and replace as I could the Hoosier decals. I can live with the end result. Also, throwing on some touch up paint and more parts - soon time to get this thing timed out - Yeah Baby!!! Oh yeah, my driver has been complaining - "Can I finally get some arms man - maybe?" I mean, seriously man, really?

Well boys - she is done, (short of some small touches here and there) - I have the kit in the background this was dreamed up from. Going to try and take some nicer pictures for the poll - but here is a couple sneak peeks - let me know what you think - all advice is good, as this was my "Virgin" Sprint Car build
