I'll show more soon. I'm working on the frame and rear end assembly. Lot of cleaning up to do. Mold lines and some flash.

Thanks Jesse. Lot more to this model than it looks like. The chassis work is complicated.

Thanks guys, I wanted to put fuel lines on the carburetors but my hands wouldn't let me . The weathering, Rick, is a trick I just learned for kit chrome in place of a black wash. It's Tamiya acrylic Smoke paint. On chrome it leaves the shine but makes it look like shiny metal chrome. Gets rid of the toy look of plastic chrome and makes it look more realistic, Works on anything chrome wheels, bumpers etc. Read an article about it and it works. I use Dremel tools a lot and I use a brass Dremel wheel brush, steel brush works also, and polish this metal with it and make it shiny then go over it with Tamiya smoke and I think it looks pretty good.

Glad to see you working on this consistently. The gold makes the nuts and bolts look like separate pieces. Nice job with that. The steering wheel look good. I think dry brushing some black may give you some grains. His is a great build, Dennis.

I think dry brushing some black may give you some grains. His is a great build, Dennis. Thank you sir. I put a little black in spots on the wheel and then painted it Leather while the black was wet but it didn't work for grain. I'll try the dry brushing because I would really like some grain in it.

didn't I see a post on here about stain pens? I keep forgetting to look, but I think I remember something like that. Kind of like those paint pens, but they are wood grain looking pens when applied to plastic

I haven't heard about wood grain pens but if you find anything about them I would like to know about it. I would want to get some.

I would like your opinion. I shaded in the louvers so they would look open. They didn't look right red. I debated on silver so they would look like screen, flat black or gloss black. I've learned from Dale to pay more attention to what matches a particular build instead of what I like and I didn't think flat black would match this build so I used gloss black. I want to know your opinion for the next build like this style of car. Do they look good shaded. I also put real screen in the nose. I appreciate it guys.

I think they look good D Probably only thing I could suggest is do you think that screening you used for the nose front, could be cut in small pieces be cut to fit inside the louvers? On top of the black would be fine I would think? Just a thought, otherwise, I think they look cool just the way they are!
