Hey peeps! Bandit is back here again, with quite the cult classic of a muscle car...the Vanishing Point 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T! As I am a beginner, it is not the most detailed/professional build that you've ever seen, but it is okay. So far I have the body/hood painted, and gotten the chassis all ready. Here are the issues: I don't have the 1 out of 4 headlights, nor do I have all the wheels/tires, nor do I have the rear panel, nor do I have either bumper, *catches some air*, nor do I have the rear taillights, nor do I have the steering wheel...I could go on ALL DAY about the parts I lack, LOL! So in other words, what you will see is not a complete automobile. What I did for the wheels is just some temporary pinewood derby wheels/axles, and later I will have to find some suitable wheels/tires for the Challenger. Anyway, here 'tis as of now:

You know, she may not be complete, but here is an idea....... Grab yourself a display stand / case, add some grass, throw in a little dirt and on her, maybe a tree to put her up against, with a barn nearby, and you would have one cool diorama!

That's great thinking CC, it would still look great as an " after the chase" build.

Ok peeps, so I decided it actually would look nicer without all the dirt/wrecked-up look "after the chase". Good idea though! Anyway, so I, today being a great day outside, decided it would be a perfect time to do a repaint. Yes, I happened to overlook the fact that there was some "run" on the lower sides of each door, and some other minor spots. So yeah, here are a couple pics of the repaint so far. And soon, I will work on the replacement of the (many) missing parts. Attachment Deleted

Got no picture
There was a scroll link to your hard drive though. Maybe we can get McGee from NCIS to hack your computer files and we could see it, LOL!!! JUS KIDDING!!
What I usually do to post pictures on here is to use photobucket
You upload your pictures to photobucket, (once you sign up for an account - its free) Then go to that picture, once you are there, click on the img button, (right side of the page, bottom button) when it flashes yellow at you, then you come back here and paste that link, then once you post the message TADA - it's there!!

Ok peeps, so far the body/hood repaint job is complete...I personally think that this is my best paint job on a model car I've ever done! Also got the same kit again to replace all the missing parts. Thoughts on progress? I think I'm finally getting to be a pro, at least in my world LOL! Anyway I might, depending, get to painting the chassis/interior etc. today. Keep an eye out, 10-4!

What engine came with that the 340 six pack?

So very true knarf - we are most definitely our own worst critics
Paint looks good!! White can be as tough as black, especially when the small details come into play, or decals. Keep it up!!

Thanks for all the support guys, I feel like this forum is totally where I belong! And Hemi - here's a link to the kit I got, except I went to a store instead of online, but anyway here's the same one: linkAnd yeah it really is just a regular '70 Challenger kit, but I'm painting it white to look like the one from Vanishing Point. And since it's a 2-in-1, it came with the 340 "SIX PAK" for the T/A version, and the 440 Magnum Six Pack for the R/T version. I love the ol' Challengers...
