I decide to throw one more into the mix while I'm building these 1940s. This will be a nice little farm truck. Started sanding the body parts for this one too.

Not sure which one of these I will use but I did get some painting done. We've hit the high 70s so the weather is perfect in the evenings for paint. Even though this is the third one of these, it'll be the first one I finish. I'm using it to get familiar with the kit for the gold one and the rat rod versions. Going with a two tone. I was torn between doing this one a full on farm truck with rust and dents and animals or doing a show truck. So I'm going to try and do something in between....whatever that is. Lol. Black and green is what I'm going with. Here are some pics of where it's at.

Looking good!!
I like the idea of green and black - and in between. Kind of like the farmer bought it just a couple years ago and has not completely tore it up yet!

Thanks bud. Yeah don't be scared to tell me when I make a mistake. I need that type of feedback for my engines.

The wood in the bed look real. Is that from the Real Wood site? If so what backing or thickness did you use?

Thanks John. I will keep stock height more or less but not box stock. These kits are street rods and have some fat tires in the rear and is higher in the back too. I'm using these tires from modelhaus and wheels from the 1948 Ford kit to give it that stock look. Thought about the chrome covers too but liked it better just like this.
