Nice work on the suspension, particularly that it works judging by the pics. When I read it was a ram vts this is the last thing I expected to see. Following with interest now to see what else you do with it

Thanks everyone. This is the most scratch building I've ever done. My wife thinks I'm crazy, said she never realized models could be so involved. She thought you just opened the box and built it to the instructions. So I told her that would be to easy and I wouldn't get to make such a big mess... running-around-smiley-emoticon

WW, NICE work on that fab'd suspension, working shocks no less! My question is, what did you do to get the springs to keep from fully "expanding" and un-couple from the piston in the coil-overs?
NICE work tho!
Models, are involved.. the more fun that makes them when you dream stuff up like this!
The tires and wheels on your VTS, come from the Revell Jeep, yes?
GREAT work! two-thumbs-up-smiley-emoticon

Hemi..if you look at the shocks, there is a black ring on top and bottom that's glued to keep the spring where I wanted it then just a little dab of glue on the bottom of the spring to the ring. the tires are from So-Real Concepts. wish I had some more, that's my last set and So-Real isn't around anymore...at least not that I've been able to find.
Thank you all for your comments and support

got a little more done the last couple of nights. got most of the interior done except for the seats. fabbed up the shifter for the trans and the twin sticks for the transfer case and then made up a center counsel with a couple gauges and switches. then mocked up the body and decided i didnt like the bed being there, so out came the dremel.... then started to fab up the cage for the back... hope you all like it so far......

Not stretching it, actually making it shorter. I cut about 1/2" off the back of the frame and then boxed it back in. Thanks everyone for all the comments

got some more done on the rear cage late last night..... then a mock up fit...... you can see in this^^^^^ picture the cab is now missing the front fenders. one fender kinda went FUBAR so out came the trusty dremel again this mishap was not part of my original plan, sooooo looks like back to the drawing bored to figure out a new front end. thinking of tubing the front to match the rear...what do you alll think? also thinking about paint scheme.....im thinking of doing the tube in red, but not sure about the cab. any suggestions? again thank you all for looking

That bar work looks killer mate, as for color, red / black or red/blue always looks great, bugger about the front end though, maybe a barred out front like some of those hill climb beasts would look good, even if you could at least keep the front nose cone??
