Well this is gonna be a good build off. I'm going to clean my bench,and get ready for this,ill have 2 months to finish it....so if i keep the girlfriends hands off me (shes always taken me shopping..dirty minds) i'll build this pup no problems!!

I got one yesterday but the paper was off of it in less than 5 min so I can't show it yet. It had a neat card with it too and it was from Santa and the Mrs.! The rules say you can start building it as soon as you get it. You have to wait to post progress pics. I got a really good kit to build too.

The rules do say that and I'll have to start now if I want to finish in time lol. Whatever I got will probably be built straight out of the box with quick easy changes and a super simple paint job, like flat black Lmao. |

I got mine as well - it was not a sealed kit - but it all looks to be there
I am gonna start on it soon - I PROMISE GUYS I know I am still trying to finish the flippin ebay Nova - yet - I still have that sidelined. BUT, was able to get most of the rest of the house decorated, AND the spare bedroom ready for company in a couple weeks. SOOOOOO I an hoping I can get some time to at least get the window trim and decals applied, clear coat, and be ready for final assembly once again. Until then, OOOOOH do I have some good ideas for the Santa build - Thank You Secret Santa!!!! - whoever you are!! (Left the return address off, and can barely make out the postmark - so for me, it truly is a Secret Santa - Lol) |

Not a contest friendly car? Why's that? The kit is curbside. No engine nor trans. The engine can not be seen from the top nor bottom anyway, so that eliminates points for detailing. This technically makes it ineligible, since there could be no engine pix. I know of no source for the engine. Building an engine compartment and installing a bowtie would not make sense in the real world. The body is a modern jelly bean, maybe a 7. I have seen few that are modified, and they all looked worse. I have only seen one with a custom paint job, and that looked worse also. Stay calm...and model on. |
