MOPAR, Massively Over Powered And Respected!!! Seriously, Mopar covers everything Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, Valiant (aussie version),etc, I'm sure John can fill in everything I have left out, he is the Mopar/Hemi resident GURU smileyCASHS601_zps1c54a9c5

Agree with Dale on the MOPAR details. Bracket racer here would be any contestant for the monthly bracket races I would say.

Deecee is right....
"Mopar" is the Parts department, division of Chrysler Corporation LLC. This covers and not limited too:
Dodge Plymouth Chrysler Desoto Hemi Imperial Jeep Ram AMC (American Motor Company) Mitsubishi (NOT currently tho)
...and last but not least
Fiat
"Mopar" really, is just the performance part division of Chrysler LLC. They got together with Fiat recently, to save the company when the big 3 had the bailout a few years ago....That was when Daimler and Chrysler were together as one company. Daimler however was really only a holding company to support the then failing Chrysler from bankruptcy....That was when the bailout happened, and they were then taken on as a holding company of Fiat just to get the brand of Fiat cars back into the USA as they at one time were consider unsafe for US market....(I am unsure of this date)
Currently the following car types are being produced:
Dodge Chrysler Ram Jeep
...and
Fiat
The Plymouth line, the Imperial line, the Desoto line, the AMC line (EXCEPT Jeep) were all discontinued over time. The company Mitsubishi, is its own company and was only a shareholder stock holder of Chrysler for a short time. They now still produce there own vehicles.
It really is a L-O-N-G line of small companies that were bought out over time and share holders and stock holders and even holding companies to keep the Chrysler line alive and well, specially from 1980 to the present.
"Ram" really is a Dodge pick-up truck BUT anything 2012 and newer (I THINK) you will NOT see "Dodge" on these trucks, Ram became their own company since that time, EVEN THO, in the paper work of the company Ram is still under the Dodge "company". Its merely for taxes and company ownership at this point... VERY complex, to say the least!
The part that gets me? How? They once made such a powerful car, (in the 70's) that they today should NOT see this, bad management, you bet! Nothing but Greed, in its purist form.....
To add to this powerful company making muscle cars? The new 2015 Dodge Challenger "Hellcat" is the worlds most powerful Muscle car, and THEE FIRST "Mopar" to be supercharged rated at 707 horsepower to the ground! That runs EVERYTHING! Power this power that, a HEAVY car, All done with a small block 392 Hemi (6.4L engine) that runs AC, alternator, power steering, you name it. The Horsepower laws of this car, superseded all known prior too... AND to have been said something like 850+ horsepower at the crank of the engine!
Honestly, I sit here talking about it, but what I wouldn't do just to take one for a 3 trips down a 1/4 mile.....
W-H-A-T A R-U-S-H!
As for the "Bracket races", I think GranpaBeast and Iceman555 can chime in on to help you.....
As Deecee said, I'm just a Mopar fanatic! LOL
Anyway....WELCOME ABOARD!
