Wow - this is awesome work man, I have yet to even get the Camaro out of her bags! LOL Always at work, been a tough couple weeks, but I am hoping to get after starting tonight. I have an idea for a top secret paint job, but I do feel a butt kicking coming on, Mine!! LOL

Here's a few progress pics and a mockup shot to see how the stance is. I found a rear axle I liked in the AMT '41 Woody kit, its a quick change with a transverse leaf spring. I also got some tires from SpeedCityResins today, they are their 7 inch cheater slicks. I have to say I'm impressed with the quality and speed of shipping! The tires as I received them. The frame will need repainted since I did some more cutting and added a cross member for the leaf spring, but no pics of that yet. Thanks Paul and DC! I didn't get nearly as much done this week as I would've of liked, dang family kept bothering me lol. I did manage to a few things done and here's the pics. Masked the body and sprayed the top and underside satin black. I found some scrap diamond patterned styrene and used it for the radiator and cut the upper tank from the original.  IMG_20140720_011344_418 by ratrodfanbobcat, on Flickr I was going to use the corrugated styrene out can see in the pic with a piece of screen over it, but it would have been to thick. Its not perfect but at least it still has some texture lol. Busy week ahead to make it before the deadline. Thanks for looking! |
