I am in need of a SMP 1960 - 63 Chevy pickup box that I can get a good tailgate from. Condition of box sides is unimportant as long as the tail gate is not glue damaged. I am building a replica of a truck that my mother owned and I have a good example to work with except the tailgate "Chevrolet" letters have been damaged by someone glueing something over top of them. No one resin casts a long box for these trucks so I need an original that I can cut up or a nice, original box with all of the side trim intact and not sanded off. I will trade for what you have or work something out one way or another.

Thanks, The newer AMT kits are different. What I need is the 60-63 gate or a complete good box

I think you might be asking for gold with this one. That is a SUPER rare kit, especially if you wont settle for an AMT tailgate. Hope you find it.  |

Weren't all of the original issue 1960-63 Chevy pickup kits SMP? Or did AMT kick in somewhere in there? I know that the '60-63 models all appear to be the same kit with jut the grilles changed to suit the year. I know that they aren't common, but there have to be some messed up ones out there. Unfortunately, no one recasts the box although other parts are available. I'll just keep on searching I guess.
