Hi guys, this is my first post, it is what i have on the bench at the moment. I am buggered if i know why Dodge decided to build a charger with 4 doors, so this is how they SHOULD have built the thing. "PROPERLY". The starting point. With the wheels i will be using. A bit of custom door work, cut into the rear door section, then had to separate the panel from the door jamb and added the rear bit to the front door, these will open properly (hopefully), so i also haveto lengthen the door linings too. And it should also have a real HEMI! A couple of turbo's which i made from solder wont really hurt either. Scratch built the manifold/intake set up aswell. Back to the bench, hope to get the doors done tonight. Cheers, Dale

I don't mind the new chargers being 4 doors but it will be neat to see your 2 door.

Slow but steady on this one, been working on the booring bit, lengthening the interior trim. Bit of BMF underneath. and the engine will be all black except the turbo gear.

Managed to lay down a paint job today, as the one i did yesterday sucked. Going with the killer wasp theme, it has to be yellow and black, so here is a progress shot of where it is headed. Firstly, i layed down some white so the yellow would pop. A bit of masking. Then hit it with some black. But, way to yellow and stripy i think. So i toned it down a bit with some black shadowing, i hope it will look good when i clear it tomorrow. If not, we will see what happens next, its only paint.

Got a bit more done today, engine is in, but had to lose the turbo's, as they were just not going to fit as this kit has a rather crap engine bay/chassis set up. To keep them, they would be tucked away where they would not be seen, so i gave them to my Son who is building a 370z Nissan drift car with a ,now, twin turbo Hemi in it, so it has gone to a good home. Also got the interior painted and fitted.

Back to the bench, hope to get the doors done tonight. Cheers, Dale Dale, how in the world did you "roll" the solder to make the turbos? I got a set I want to add to this: BUT, the ones that are resin casts, don't look, big enough to justify them on this engine and the cost of 9 bucks kills me for such a small part! Any technique or tricks on doing it?

It is pretty easy mate, just wrap the solder around the skinny end of a modeling paint brush, some i have made the two scrolls out of one piece, this one i made them out of 2 separate pieces, with a piece of alloy tube in the centre, just play around until you are happy with what you end up with, good luck.

...This all makes sence, BUT what diameter solder did you start with? I'm not sure I've got the same stuff! LOL your a ways away and not in my Homeland so, please excuse the questions as I'm trying to figure this out to be able to do it, and make it look "right" to go with that beast of a motor, I'm building!
I appreciate it tho!
