I'm in as usual, any excuse to build...... I received this kit as a prize from Joel a little while back, so i think it is perfect to be used in a build off.. Will try to modernize it a bit, a sort of pro touring superbird.

A pro touring superbird will be cool, not sure if I've seen one done that style but there was a pro-mod one this side of the pond

Thanks mike and Les, well, the first thing i need to do is to get it low, and to make rooms for some wheels..... So i removed the wheel tubs, and moved them inboard and upwards too. I will move them inwards the distance where the blade is pointing. Back on. And now sit on the chassis rail instead of beside it.

Thanks guys, well i managed to get the rear inner wheel wells tidied up. Now on to the front, i notched the chassis so the k-frame sat inside the rail instead of just up against it. And the torsion bars will be replaced with metal ones. Found some resin Hemi heads, and still playing around with induction for it, this is just an idea, not too sure yet, it might get a blower yet.... evil5

Oooooooohh Yeah!!!!! I say a blown Hemi is the ONLY way to proceed sir.... thinking-hard-smiley-emoticon As i want a pro touring style, it would have to be one of those under bonnet modern injected types, and i don't think i have one, so i will keep plugging away until i make up my mind ... Next problem, the wheels fell off........... I will remove all this clutter and narrow the diff a little bit.

Holy crap man - you dissected this sucker like a frog in science class!! AWESOME !! Yeah, i missed science at school... besides, plastic ain't so messy.. Well. to make room for the hemi heads, i needed to remove the battery and plate it. And filled the holes in the front guards with some heated and stretched sprue , as i am not running the fender scoops. Also, i really don't like how the rear wing sits so far forward, so i filled the front holes and am moving it back quite a bit. AND, i made an injection set-up for it too..

MY YIKES !!!!!!! Just a fantastic start to what looks like one terrific build. Thanks for the "mini-tutorial" on how to tub the rear-end. Your fotos are clear and precise. With all these ideas in your head on building the car,how do you remember to take fotos ? Whatever your doin'. Keep it up. Thanks.

I always keep the camera on my work bench, as it is the only thing i use it for, as i can't be bothered photographing life in general... and i like to help people do what i do, so if i can make it easier with pics, GOOD !!! Tom, yes mate, it does look better, i think it was positioned up near the rear window due to limitations on the length of the vehicle for racing, there is no way thet would put it there because they though it looked good... Well, today, while watching my V8 SUPERCARS , i fabricated a rear end for it, took a few goes at it, and a fair bit of material went in the bin, but i think i pulled it off, also added some color too..

Cool working suspension! Is that color Sassy Grass Green? Thanks again men, AK, it is "MEAN GREEN" Dupli-color, and hopefully this will be MEAN enough to warrant the color.. Tom, these ideas come from an imagination that has been flooded with beer over the years and now has no control on what amount of BS flows through it, and sometimes gets me in trouble, this is why i stay in and build models, where it only gets me in trouble with what i come up with. Sometimes it means i have to rectify something i have hacked up, with no clue why, but it usually turns out for the better... Like tonight, i thought this would look good with headlights, as it has none, which is understandable as they were a race car really, and would not be driven fast at night with those lights sticking up in the ugly position, but!!!! nah, it need lights.. Also redid the inlet black. And got my torsion bars in place too..

Thanks mate, I am going with the Aoshima KRANZE wheel, with the centre blacked out,but still running the chrome lip. If you go to the pic where I have yellow primer on the rear wheel well, there is one sitting in the background..

This is looking awesome great looking detailing.. Kinda funny your half way and I haven't even started yet lol Thanks Mike, i got to get it done, as i have a big job coming up on the Hot Wheels build, LOTS of work.. Well, a small update guys, after doing the suspension, it still sits high, so i decided to channel the chassis by slicing a piece out of the interior tub. Also molded the nose on, as i don't like the way it looks stuck on there. Then made a lip for the rear spoiler. And found a hood scoop to clear the induction. Hoping to do some paint tomorrow...

Well, no paint yet, spent the day working on my sons car........ but i did get to see where it was going to sit now i have done the channeling, but the wheels looked inadequate, so i found something tougher, the wheels from the Dodge Sidewinder pick-up, just need to paint them black..
