I agree with everyone here Ken. This is astonishing work, the level of detail and thought going into this build is simply mind boggling. PLEASE - do not shelve this. This is YOUR vision, YOUR build, and you can most certainly create YOUR vision. Or you could simply look at iti this way, , did they buy the kit? NO - you did, because you had an idea, that alone makes this a work art, unlike any other, and one that only you can finish.

The "allo allo" idea is just putting this build over the top Ken. I'm liking how you think. For those of you not in the UK allo allo is an 80's tv comedy set in ww2 france. A little risque for it's day but they got away with it.

I think you are doing an AMAZING job mate, personally, i think it is a hideous looking car in real life, but that is just MY opinion, just like the people knocking what you are doing is THEIR opinion. We all build for the love of it, and if someone does not like what you are doing to a kit, let them buy 1 and build their own version, it is always good to listen to others advice at times, but NEVER change a build because they don't agree with what you are doing . I get knocked a bit when i put modern wheels on old stuff, but i say BUGGER EM' !! I build it my way, and you should stick to doing it YOUR way mate. I reckon they are jealous that they can't do weathering like you do, not many can i reckon, SUPERB WORK KEN.!!

Hi all been going through some of my old builds and I still think this is one of my best, if not the best (even over the French galley the la reale) I can't believe I've built 162 kits in the 5 yrs since I got back into plastic kits (and some of them have been huge ( the 1/4 Ducati to say the least) and the big ships) 162 is a conservative estimate as that's what I still have, I've sold some and binned some as well it's probably up near 200 in reality. I would just like to say thanks for watching as I've gone along. If I'd stuck to sctatch building ships that number would be nearer 4 yes that's right I would have scratch built 4 ships in the same time, can you tell why I like plastic kits.
