Well I have been sitting in the shadows watching all of you amazing builders so I figured it was time to put myself out there and take a chance with a contest so I am going to throw my hat in the ring with my version of a 32 roadster what I am building is gonna be more of a box stock kit but with a few upgrades so this is what I am starting with

Alright I started with the interior tub which I decided to paint the body color I used embossing powder for that carpeted look and the dash and guage cluster are "Box stock"

Maybe someone can seperate the 2 builds. Might be confusing having 2 32's in one thread, lol

It's not a big deal, at first I thought I'd posted a pic of my body. It's going green once I get it stripped and repainted.

Got a little work done on the powerplant yesterday I started by stripping all of the chrome and airbrushing those pieces with steel metalizer I like the more subtle lighter look better. Next I scratch built a fuel rail out of scrap sprue and scratched up a couple of AN fittings (Both of those for the first time) So here is a picture of the induction system

That's looking good, bud. I love metalizer paints. Just dont forget the sealer. I agree on the look. Way better than the shiny chrome.

GREAT eye for detail! (I LOVE seeing this in builders) it shows, when ya build you care on what all details are there and what aren't, and why.....
The fittings for a first time aren't bad at all! GREAT looking for a pro-street/racing set up..... I myself do sort of the same with the stock fittings, most if not all of those from me are "brass"....BUT thats just me! Yours however look GREAT!!!!!
how'd you make them if I may ask!? At some point, I may try my hand at the racing side of things, but not something I'd do all the time as I'm a true Stock Builder.....
Lookin real good tho, I must say!

Hi. I like your detailing, but am distracted and bothered by the engraving of the manufacturer and year, that was left on. FYI, I have seen many judging score sheets that specifically instruct judges to deduct points if these types of markings can be seen.

And regarding the engraving of the manufacturer etc. I agree 100% and to be honest with you it had never crossed my mind until I saw the picture on here and by then it was too late! But hey I learned something so Thank you

I am happy with them so far but like everyone else I am still searching for the next best looking and most affordable thing

Thanks for that Mikey! I'll be looking at Micheals too to see what they all have there for such things.....And as you said, the next best thing by looks OR by price so, I do not disagree, as these fittings as model parts, aren't cheap by no sort......I myself have found a way around the cost of the Carburetor return springs and look just as good and honestly, I bet are a bit easier to work with!
Thanks for that little tid bit......
