Thanks Stitch! I thought that Shaker was damn near a MUST BUT I didn't want to make it any sort of "permanent" to the car due to what I was trying to do.......... I have to say, the interior has to be MY BEST effort to interiors! (I have never claimed I was good or even decent at interiors NEVER once!) BUT the one seen here, I have to give myself a pat on the back for a job well done...... honestly, I did not think the interior was gonna turn out as well as it did..... AND to that, I BLAME all of those on here for giving me a good ole SHOVE to try new things, As this car has a mix of Testors Chrome BRUSH (NOT sprayed paint, as well as BMF. inside, and OUT! Last second of the build, I swallowed hard and went yeah F!@#$% it, BMF that center side trim is gonna get! I wasn't going to risk the finish with brushing the chrome one it. so......... I'm quite pleased with the results myself.......... It as this message is typed out resides in its own display case! I just got to figure out where the hell I'm gonna put the extra hood to it LOL running-around-smiley-emoticon

You'll just have to build another for the spare hood

Nahhhh........... they're both part of the same build.....SO I'll be coming up with a way to "show" it in the display case with the car......... thinking-hard-smiley-emoticon NOT a bad idea to do one "stock" the next time around.......

Great Build.

Tom, Ice, Denny, halffastracing,
Thanks guys (I think I got all of you that mentioned things) This build was fun,. I did what I proposed I was gonna do too, lower the car, shoe-horn in that twin turbo 392 Hemi, and NOT "need" to put holes in the hood.....Which the Shaker was an after thought, BUT that too, Was fun or part of the fun as it takes the "week day" sleeper, look and gives it a Warrior look for the weekend! Its some model I tell ya, and I did my share of screw ups on it too............ had on a couple times go back over things as something reacted bad (paint) as the clear coat reacted to the tape when I was doing the roof.
This car outside of the couple small issues turned out GREAT. The interior I'm proud of most of all........ I never claimed I was "good" or even "great" at interior work but this one.........I think it turned out the best of my ability of interior work, with a LOT of added little extras.... So I'm very pleased with the out come of the interior more then anything.
The engine....... that was thee fun part really, I loved the look of the real one I seen and thought I WILL find a way to put that into a car some-day. well that day is here, and I got it in the car with a bit of effort to get the proposed look I was seeking with the engine! That well, I think I done well also but, I know I have sort of a knack for that type thing with engines....
Thanks guys! I really did enjoy building this beast, was a fun one.....I won't be doing a LOT of low riders, BUT this is an opened door for more in the future as it too was fun!

I've seen the engine. I'm just saying as a simple display, it's hard to see all the hard work you put into it.

-Yeah you do have a point on that one.....(I thought you were asking if there were more "open" pictures to view the engine for the contest)
But now that we're on the same page, yes, you are right, it will be difficult to display with the engine showing...... Thats OK, I'm still pondering how the hell I'm gonna display the car, with BOTH hoods and BOTH air cleaners in the same "display case"........
Thanks tho! I do appreciate the kudo's and the inspiration on its display as I'm pondering how I am going to go about that!

Thanks Paul! A part in these pics ought to look familiar! LOL Thanks for that in our trade! Turned out just as I planned so...... Now, I'll be able to feel OK "straying" away from the contest build.....Mine is done! I'll be in more tho...... Just going ot take a short break from the contests a bit, as I want to work on my Monster A100 (Yeah, I been itchin to get back on it) PLUS I got a bunch of others that are so close done, its not funny! I'd like to see more DONE then whats setting right now!

John, An ABSOLUTE STELLAR build. You made this 300 , a TRUE thing of BEAUTY. Your clean build style & attention to detail , make this an OUTSTANDING build. Just an idea, for your hood dilemma: How about a tripod or easel like stand that you could position the hood on. It would be tilted so viewers can see the hood a & I don't think it would take up too much space in your display.. GORGEOUS BUILD!! two-thumbs-up-smiley-emoticon Rick

Thanks Rick kind words! It was one intense build thats for sure......... Not complainin' mind you I enjoyed every frustrating second of even the trouble times during the build! As for my dilemma, see, thats the trouble (right now at least) I have it in a single car display case to protect it, only temporary tho. as once this damn snow melts, I plan to build a pretty big display case, and in a few instances I plan on this one particularly, to suspend the second hood, beside the car, from small necklace type chains from the shelf above it..... Tool box-like crates to sit what ever "Air Cleaner" is not on the car on the ground/shelf next the car, near the second hood. BUT for now till that display case is made this spring, I still want to keep the dust off the car...... which is what I've done I got the second hood in a small clean zip lock baggy till them......

Thanks Tom......You ought to go look at the "build" thread of it! That engine isn't just the engine that came with the kit! Plus I added alot to it, as well as a couple of "firsts" for me with model cars This is the sort of thing, that keeps ole John goin'...... Thanks Tom, I really do appreciate it!

Thank you Sir Beast! You know, you just pointed something out, I had NOT seen! The color mentioning.....the roof shows it to be "white"! It is, sort of, its actually a 2 phase pearl white that I used but the flash doesn't give the roof paint, justice, I WILL however see if I can get a picture to show this color better as its not just plain ole gloss white as it looks in the pictures! As for the compliments, Thank you! This coming from you, well..... Make me head swell just a little!

Thanks Frank! I appreciate it.......... I honestly am still "living" the build on this one, as really I do not KNOW how the hell I made ALL of my "build desires" actually happen with no real planning, I just seen, and went on after it.......... A bit of work, but, worth it! And the end result shows that to me!
Thing is, something I just realized, as well, the car itself, actually looks better in person, then in the pictures I've taken! GO FIGURE, as it sits behind me in my living room, right now! I normally "display" the builds for a bit before, finding them an instant final displaying place....

OK, After a BOATLOAD of pictures.....(TRYING to get that roof to show up) I think I got it! And then one to follow as it sits in front of me and the home computer...... ....That damned pearl roof, is gets me! I can't get it to show up as well as it looks on the car, BUT this does "show" it..... Sadly, these pictures were taken AFTER it was mounted to its display base...... ENJOY!
